UPCOMING EVENTS

Spring is only weeks from both officially and unofficially starting -- so for those who prefer the warmer weather (like me), get ready for more outdoor time. There are also more events on the horizon for you to engage.

On March 29th (Wednesday) at 7 PM ET the monthly (free) Webinars, sponsored by Successful Innovations, continue. This month we will be talking about the often dreaded "teenage years" and how you as a parent can best manage the competition for their time and priority. Register today, whether you have teens now or will have them in the future, such a discussion will be worth your time.

In April we will once again have a "Men Talking Fatherhood" virtual call with fathers who either have years of experience to share with others, or younger fathers who can use such insights themselves. No registration needed, simply mark your calendar for April 10th at 8 PM ET..

You can check the full list of upcoming events by clicking the below link, and you are always welcome to schedule a one-on-one by clicking here.

RECENT EVENTS

The last several weeks have been busy and I am thankful for the opportunities made available to better equip parents in defining their legacy.

This included in-person events in Maryland (16 FEB) and Virginia (25 FEB), as well as ongoing monthly virtual sessions (13 and 22 FEB).

Additionally, I was able to participate in a couple Podcasts that I invite you to listen to when your schedule allows. One was titled the Power of the Present Father, a virtual panel hosted by Pearl Loftlin that included several esteemed fathers who shared "pearls of wisdom" to help younger father's in their charge to lead their family. I was also a guest on Kingdom Inspiration News, hosted by Gwen Goolsby-Tillery. The one-on-one interview was an open discussion about my career, marriage and parenting / fatherhood.

Lastly, a shout out a "757 Powerhouse" Shekita Jackson, who continues to do so much for the community in so many ways. We concluded our 3-Part Parent Education Series, but mine was merely a portion of all she offers / does in a given month to help young mothers, or as a Pastor, or as a Business & Health Coach or even as a leader of the Hampton Roads Black Non-Profit Alliance.

LIFE ALIGNMENT

Over the last 5 months I have been sharing components of a "Living Your Life Framework" to help young and transitioning adults ensure all aspects of their life is aligned. If you have not been receiving newsletters, you can create a Group account where previous newsletters are available.

In February we completed the first block -- Aspirations, comprised of Expectations, Goals and Priorities / Milestones / Pivots (life-changes).

The next major block will focus on Strategic Goal Setting. Where you project goals either in a 20-10-5 year construct, or a 10-5-1 year model. In addition to near, mid and short term goals, you should explore each in the context of Relationships (Family & Friends), Personal (Self-Improvement) and Enablers (Performance & Out-reach). All of which we will further explore in next month's newsletter.
