NUMINOUS LANDSCAPE

studio updates, musings, and inspiration

The 123rd edition of the Society of Scottish Artists annual exhibition opens at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh, on Monday 1st November, continuing until 23rd November. Whilst I don't have work in the exhibition itself this year, I have made these two pieces available via the '30x30' showcase, which is essentially a shop for small work by SSA members within the exhibition. All of the work available is priced at £350 or below, and can be taken home upon purchase.

Mountains Green (3) (above), and Mountain Bloom (below), are acrylic paintings on wood panel, 25 x 25 x 0.5 cm, and priced at £225 each.

The paintings are mounted on white card and wrapped in cellophane for display. The card backing can be easily removed to allow for framing.

Inspirations

Lara Orman

Lara's powerful and evocative works are perfect for this time of year; the sense of peering through a veil, to presences beyond the mundane. This current exhibition is located in a beautiful area, rich with autumn colors and atmosphere.

Richard Skelton

This new work from one of my favorite artist's is right up there with his best compositions. Sutr is an immersive and poignant experience, which also lends itself so well to the current season.
