INTRODUCING THE NEW LOOK BOARD
The International Red Dairy Breeds Federation held its official meeting during the Mount Gambier based conference days.  News from that meeting is that two new members join the Board.  Russell Tocker of New Zealand brings young blood to the team.  Morten Hansen of Denmark brings experience of the European scene.

A major discussion point at the open IRDBF meeting was that member breeds would commit to open collaboration on information and data sharing for the joint progress of all red dairy cattle.

Estonia was announced as the next country to host the IRDBF tour and conference.  We invite everyone to assemble in Estonia in July 2022 to share in the hospitality and committed red dairy scene which exists there.  The Australian conference website will eventually convert into a dedicated website for IRDBF.

LOTS OF COWS!
The event was structured to have something for everyone, and of course we made sure there were many beautiful red herds to visit.  This photograph shows the quintessential Australian landscape with graceful red gum trees in the background at the newly located property of Boldview Farm Ayrshires at Mount McIntyre, South Australia.

Another development to come out of the Australian event is that the IRDBF Board actively encourages each member breed to commit to providing at least one scholarship to enable young aspiring breeders from their country to attend each IRDBF conference. 
Australian Red Dairy Breed provided for four young breeders to attend this gathering!  You can see who they are as part of the linked video of the conference story below.
