The Inflation Reduction Act: A Climate Victory?

The recently passed Inflation Reduction Act appears to be a massive step forward in tackling climate mitigation and carbon emission management. Due to how the social and economic impact of climate change has become inevitable and increasingly prevalent in many communities, this act aims to provide direct consumer rebates and tax credits in aid of clean vehicles, appliances, and jobs. There is much hope that this act will push America to reduce emissions by 40% in 2030 and position the country to meet Biden’s climate goals of net zero by 2050.
