Be Prepared for Summer Camp!

Program registration, first payment date, menus, roster updates, and more!

Summer camp officially begins in less than 100 days, and we. are. READY!  Are you?

Earlier this week, we shared information with the Scouts BSA units registered for camp including updated to our program registration process for 2022, a request to update rosters, reminders on first payment date (April 15- $50/Scout), New Scout payment date (May 15), and more!  If you missed it, click here for our update blog post with all the information you need.  We continue to "Try Something New in 2022!" as we transformed our program registration process in hopes to make it even easier for units and Scouts to sign-up for their summer adventures.

Cub Scout families continue to pour in for our July 29-31 Webelos/Arrow of Light Weekend, and we're getting excited!  This year, go Into the Wild as you take on new adventures and experience camp with our nationally accredited program.  The most cost effective program in the area, guaranteed, this weekend is jam packed with opportunities for you and your Scouts entering 4th or 5th grade this fall. Additional information will be sent to families in the coming months regarding specific program elements for this exciting weekend.

Make sure your medical forms are up-to-date as you prepare for your summer adventures! Week-long trips (longer than 72-hours) require Part C no matter how long your stay at camp.  Weekend trips only require Parts A and B (no doctor signature required).  Be sure to update your medical forms leading into this year's spring and fall outings.  Additional information is available on the BSA website here.

Camp is right around the corner.  Be sure you and your unit does everything than can to "Be Prepared" as we all embark on a journey to "Try Something New in 2022!"

Your adventure starts today at www.canyoncampbsa.org.  Has your unit secured a weekend or week-long adventure yet? Are you part of a Cub Pack?  Be sure to secure your spot for overnight weeklong Scouts BSA Camp or save the date and get registered for the Webelos/AOL Camp (July 29-31).

Stewards Update:

Dozens of Thousands of Dollars Appropriated to Canyon Camp

Earlier this month, the Stewards Initiative Leadership Council met to appropriate this year's funding.  Twelve high priority projects were selected focused on capital or program related needs at Camp.  These visionary projects are funded through the Blackhawk Area Council's Stewards initiative with additional funding given through the newly formed third-party non-profit, The Friends of Canyon Camp.

All contributions are immediate use for Camp each year.  This year, you will see benefits to a few latrines at camp (subsidized funding provided; majority of funds through private donor), aquatics area improvements, a new year-round camp sign, a new Handicap Tent, and more.  Thank you for supporting Canyon Camp!
