In May, everything around us seems fresh and new. NCBWL is no exception. With the new board in place, we're kicking off with this month's meeting at a new location presided by our recently installed president Lynne Warne. Let's gather for Social Hour, Meeting and Italian-fare Dinner. Cost is $25 for the Dinner and Meeting and is absolutely FREE to attend the meeting. Social hour is from 5:00 until 6:00 so we'll have plenty of time to catch up and get reacquainted. Aren't we all excited to be back to meet in person? The Month of Mary Let us also remember that May is the month of Mary, Queen of Heaven. It is an exciting month for the Catholic women as we give the greatest honor to Our Lady and give special reverence to her feasts: Mary Queen of Apostles, Our Lady of Fatima, Mary Help of Christians, and The Visitation. RSVP by May 14 NOON Please remember to reserve only once for Dinner & Meeting, unless of course you're reserving for "Meeting only" (FREE). We still need to get a more accurate headcount. Also, please indicate if you have dietary restrictions or options. We want to make sure we cater to your needs. Please visit the website to reserve. |

For our May social outreach, we are asking for donations of vegetable and canola oil for The Nashville Food Project. They will use it to cook thousands of scratch-made meals in their kitchens each week. Bringing people together to grow, cook and share nourishing food, with the goals of cultivating community and alleviating hunger in our city is the mission of The Nashville Food Project. Donations are very much appreciated. Visit our website to know more or contact our Publicity Outreach Chair Lisa Link for details. |

Catholic Women of Faith Conference |
The 14th Annual Catholic Women of Faith Conference was held April 24 at St. Philip Church. Thank you Teri Gordon for representing NCBWL at the event as an Exhibitor. In line with our current efforts to grow, connect and engage with other Catholic women of faith, our booth has reached other women in our diocese. Theresa Cole from St. Rose of Lima parish in Murfreesboro won at a raffle for a one-year membership. We look forward to meeting the women who signed up and expressed interest in joining the league soon. Way to go, Teri! |

President's Message LYNNE WARNE |
I kept a copy of the February 5 Tennessee Register and unearthed it from my desk the other day thinking, “Why did I hang onto this?” And then I saw a quote I’d circled in an article that caught my attention months ago. It said Bishop Spalding wants the Diocese of Nashville to bring more people to Christ, filling all the churches to overflowing, saying “My vision is to fill all the spaces in all the places!” He goes on to say, “When we accept God’s plan for our lives, we take on the mission of bringing others to Christ.” | | |
