Find Your Voice: Join 'York County Reads!'

YCL's Second Annual York County Reads runs January – February! All ages can "find your voice through art" by reading our featured books. You can also meet the authors virtually and enjoy other York County Reads events at each library. Encourage others to sign up, and tag us on social media with #yorkcountyreads2021. Register online or learn more at yclibrary.org. 

Totally Cool Winter Reading Challenge

We're joining Zoobean in partnership with Simon & Schuster's Books Like Us program for Beanstack’s Annual Winter Reading Challenge. Help us read at least one million minutes for a chance to win one of eight virtual author visit and other prizes!

"Still Dreaming" Poetry Competition: January 17, 6 p.m.

Rock Hill Poet Laureate Angelo Geter and York County Library invite students to participate in Rock Hill’s inaugural "Still Dreaming" Poetry Competition, honoring the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Three hundred dollars in prizes will be distributed among the winners. The deadline to sign up is Thursday, January 14. For more information, visit cityofrockhill.com/stilldreaming.

Saturday: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

 

Closing Announcements: All York County Libraries will be closed Saturday, January 16, – Monday, January 18, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Due to Covid-19, Friends Books on Main will be closed during the month of January.
