Self-September

Week 3

Hey Protected babes,

If you read Self-September blog post then you know what the month of September theme is. It's all about SELF. This is the beginning of week 3. In the blog I mentioned a self-care wheel. The self-care wheel is made up of six sections each geared to focus on the overall well being of self and life balance. For week 3 I will be focusing solely on the spiritual section. This section on the self-care wheel encourages you to focus on Self-Reflection, Going into nature, Finding a spiritual community, Mediating, Signing, Dancing, Being Inspired, Practicing Yoga, Playing, Watch Sunsets, Praying, Setting Intentions, Finding a spiritual Mentor, Volunteer for a cause and Foster self-forgiveness.

Although the spiritual section has many categories that you can focus on you can choose one area to focus on for week 3. Also remember the spiritual section does not have to be your area of focus. There are five other areas: Psychological, Emotional, Personal, Professional and Physical. This is just the area where I felt called to do next. This week I am going to attempt to do all of the categories in the spiritual section. I'll be doing one or more on most days, so I would be able to address everyone. I'm so excited to tap in more in spiritually because recently I've been receiving major downloads that I want to focus in on and manifest them into reality. Some of the categories I already incorporated in my daily life such as meditation, I am a FOUNDING WOMAN of WIN WOMEN EMPOER Empowerment Community, I have a spiritual mentor and as some of you know I pray daily and set intentions daily.

To start off my week 3 I will be attending a Transform & Ground Sound Bath Session on 9/17/23. I will be journeying through sensory exploration and will be connecting with internal vibrations. This session was created by a beautiful, educated, and talented woman who goes by the name Dane Browne. Learning to become in tune with my inner self will allow me to gain a deep sense of belonging without needing validation from the outside world, leaning and understanding myself as a whole, growing my faith, deepener my relationship with GOD and helping me to become in alignment with my higher self.

When it comes to self-care and being at our best, dedicating time to spirituality is equally important, if not more important, as other areas of life. Developing our spirituality can help us deal with life’s challenges and grow into a better, more whole and happy individual. If there is one thing that spirituality can add to our life is a sense of hope and optimism. Spirituality strengthens our outlook for a better future. We will always encounter challenges in life, but if we stay hopeful during trying times we will persevere. Spiritual growth enhances our ability to deal with life’s ups and downs and bounce back from those difficult experiences. It is easy to look at others with judgment and criticism, but when we start to grow spiritually we realize how much healthier it is to cultivate compassion and understanding for others instead. Growing spiritually not only provides us the means needed for a particular purpose, but also improves our personal well-being.

When we look at life through compassionate lens we can grow a sense of connection to others and begin to recognize the positive impact we can have. Knowing and understanding that we have an impact on others will leave room and space to develop a sense of purpose and meaning. Being able to know that our life is worthwhile and that we aren’t just here by some random mistake can make a major difference in the trajectory of our life. We are all created by a creator to create. Having a reason and a why allow us to know we are meant to contribute something to the world. Without a sense of spirituality we can lose sight of what is really most important and meaningful. Life is full of inspiration when we are looking for it. There is so much to be grateful for despite the struggles and challenges we face.

Through spiritual growth we can learn to see the beauty and wonder in our day to day life. The things we often take from granted can start to offer us greater inspiration and joy. Part of spirituality is connecting to a higher power. Understanding the sense that there is something greater than ourselves, and that we don’t have to carry the entire burden alone. When we learn how to “let go” of the emotional baggage we carry it really adds to peace of mind. In Ephesians 4:13, Paul longs for, “all [to] attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature person, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.”

Below are some scriptures that I read to help grow and maintain spiritually:

Ephesians 5:8: "For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light"

Deuteronomy 31:6: "Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

Romans 15:13: "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope."

Colossians 2:7: "Rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness."

The Power of Listening to Your Gut: Nurturing Your Spiritual Gift of Discernment

Listen to this episode from Seasoned Dialogue with Lisa-Marie on Spotify. Life can get overwhelming, but it's important to embrace the journey and know that you still have time to achieve your goals. Intuition and discernment are spiritual gifts that we all possess. They're not superhuman abilities, but rather innate senses that guide us.
