Lisa Lackey embellished the frames with laser cut walnut letters and images of tools. |

Carvers Hello wood carvers. As you see from the photo we had a good potluck last month. Thanks to those who supplied food and desert. We had a small group but a hungry group. I hope to see you all on either January 11 or the 25th. These are our regular carving days at Alaska Industrial Hardware. Bring a project and let’s see if we can make progress. Artistry in Wood is fast approaching. I hope that everyone is busy working on some exciting new projects that are sure to wow us all. These dark cold windy and snowy evenings are perfect for carving and carving is much more fun than doing chores. I hope that everyone enters at least 3 items. Remember that we need volunteers to help with set up, demonstrating different carving techniques and monitoring at the mall. We will be discussing the many tasks and jobs that will need to be filled so please come to say hi to your fellow carvers. And bring a friend! |
