For your information, Dress Down Day raised over $500.00 for Friendship Trays. This Sunday marks the beginning of Advent. During Advent we will, as a whole school, have our morning prayers together in the gym. Some students will read from the scripture, classes will decorate our Jesse tree, and we will light our Advent wreath as we pray and enter into a season of waiting before the celebration of Christmas. As the interim principal of St. Patrick Catholic School, I am thankful for many things. First, I am thankful for the opportunity to serve in this role that helps bring our children closer to God and that each school day we begin and end with prayer. Secondly, I am thankful for the dedicated PTO and numerous parents who give of their time for our school. Next, I am thankful for my teachers, faculty, and staff who go above and beyond in helping our students develop spiritually, intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally. Finally, I am thankful for all the students who attend St. Patrick. For all these reasons, I am thankful. As I gather around my table on Thanksgiving Day and offer my prayer of thanksgiving, please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Have a Happy Thanksgiving. This labor of love was fully donated, including the truck and crane services for delivery. SPIRIT STORE CHANGES PTO is streamlining all new uniform items to be purchased through Flynn O’Hara’s including fleeces and gym shirts. We will sell remaining Spirit Store items at the Fall Festival. The PTO’s Shamrock Shop (gently used uniform clothing) will remain open! Moving forward, certain Spirit Store swag (magnets, water bottles, baseball hats and yard signs) will be sold at in person events-New Family picnic, Open House and Beginners Day. Kids can purchase socks in front office throughout school year for $10. |

BIRTHDAY TREATS Students are permitted to bring in store-bought (not homemade) treats to celebrate their birthdays with their class during lunch. Families have the option to purchase ice cream from the cafeteria for the birthday boy/girl and/or for the whole class to celebrate a birthday. Ice cream orders must be placed with Mrs. Loeber, the cafeteria manager, at least one week prior to the date to ensure enough ice cream is available for the class to participate.
