We just wanted to give you a quick update on some new things: we have additional hours and great new plants and items! Hope to see you soon :)
Cheers! Britt, Jasmin, and Kristen
p.s. when you come for a visit we are at 376 Washington Street in Norwell, in the REAR LOT. We are behind Local Pottery, Trattoria San Pietro, and Yarn's End. There is another garden center towards the front of the property, we are in the back!

We have some great new items at Blue Stem Natives. Here's just a small sampling!
We have four different types of garden "kits" in stock right now. From Monarch gardens, pollinator gardens, to rain gardens. These are pre-planned to work together throughout the seasons. $108 for 18 plants, each in a 1/2 quart pot. See our suggested planting plan on each kit's page.
We've added many plants to our available list in the last week! Stop by to see what's new or peruse the website using the filters to narrow down what you might like. One new plant we love: King Solomon's-seal (Polygonatum biflorum). This is a great replacement for the non-native Hosta!
Per popular request, we are adding some native grass and sedge plugs to our availability list. If you are new to "plugs" they are smaller, newer, plants that have had less labor and time invested so you can buy more for less. 25 plug tray for $72, which works out to $2.88 per plug.
Grab one of these "Native Trees for Northeast Landscapes" guidebooks put together by Wild Seed Project of Maine. These are fabulous. $18, click below for more information. More great books coming soon.
"Why are many things on the website "out of stock"?
We aren't just a garden center, we are a nursery too and much of what we are selling this year we've grown for you from seed! If something is listed as "out of stock" that means it's truly coming soon. We check the roots of what we are growing to make sure they are strong and robust before sending out into the world. We are working on a chart to better keep you informed of what is coming down the pipeline. Here's the nursery section of Blue Stem Natives:

P.S. we are taking on a second project starting July 1. Hint: there may be some farming involved. You'll be the first to hear about it!
