Visiting USA – Kidmin Conference, General Council, Missionary Renewal, Churches All Over

We arrived in the USA on the 14th of April, just in time to make it back for the A/G Kidmin Conference in Indiana.  What a fantastic time of equipping, learning, and impartation.  There were so many resources available, I learned so much, and enjoyed outpourings of the Holy Spirit even in the workshops.

I am still being blessed as I continue to take the course “School Of Supernatural Children’s Ministry” from KIMI Intl. – one of the featured ministries that were at the conference. There were over a thousand Children’s Pastors, Children’s Ministry Directors, and Children’s Ministry workers there from A/G and other churches.  It was HUUUGE!   I HIGHLY encourage any church that wants to invest in your children’s ministry to make this your event of the year.  The next one is April 11-13, 2018 and you can get more info at: kidmin.ag.org/events/conference/AGKidmin18

LET’S JUST GO AFTER GOD!

We’ve come to the place in this furlough where we often are experiencing the move of God so wonderfully in the altar times with such sweet manifestations of God’s presence, that we are just hooked on that. Wonderfully addicted to the manifest presence of God.

If it comes to the place of having to choose between the altar and the missionary’s offering; we’ll take the altar call. We’re just desperate for God.

When given the opportunity to preach, we ask if we can do an altar call.  If we just get a window, we’ll ask, “Can we go in with kids afterwards?”  And if that’s not available, we’ll ask , “Can we be part of the prayer meeting or a Small Group get-together?”  Whatever door we get our foot into, we’ll ask, “Can we just go after God?  I know it’s a missions meeting, or I know it’s kids, but can we just go for after God?”

We love being back in the USA to visit family and churches,  but what we enjoy most here is the same thing that we enjoy most in Africa….. Experiencing and exploring  the heights and depths of the Holy Spirit, and being a part of His gracious touches.

California, here we come! Kim, Bree, and I were able to go to California and attend the General Council and make history as the Assemblies of God chose a new General Superintendent, and a new General Treasurer.

I was given the privilege of being an General Presbyter and representing the African missionaries in top level meetings and when not doing that, was just able to really enjoy the fellowship and meetings of the Council and the culture of California. Many of those who went also saw us at the Africa Exhibit in the big Hall.  We just wanted to be available to speak into the lives and pray with anyone interested in serving Jesus in Africa.

Prayer Corner

Now that we are back in the USA for furlough we have several very real prayer needs...

FIRST - Answered Prayer – Hurricane Irma Testimony  - We want to thank everyone who was praying during the time of Hurricane Irma.  Kim and Breanna were about an hour and a half away from Tallahassee, right in the path of the “Biggest Hurricane to ever hit Florida.”  However, by the time it hit them, it was only a Tropical Storm.  We honestly believe that prayer made a huge difference and turned a disaster into an inconvenience.

- God’s grace on Bree.  She finished with her Vet Tech program and is wanting to study pathology and the pre-med course work is very challenging. Especially Chemistry.  Blessing on her and balance for spirit, soul, and body.

- Outpouring of the Holy Spirit

In the services we are ministering in, both adult and children’s services.

REVIVAL – We just want more of God, outpourings of the Holy Spirit. May we find this same attitude all over.

- Lodging:  While traveling in New Jersey and Southern New England we just don’t want to burn through our offerings paying for hotel rooms.  So far God has answered this prayer and wonderfully provided.  Let’s continue in this!

- Our Work Permit Situation:  As of the writing of this newsletter we still do not have permission to return to Namibia after our furlough.    We are rowing the boat, looking for Jesus to come walking on the waters of this sea of visas and work permits.  It’s hitting the 4th watch of the night and something’s got to happen.  Let’s continue to declare God’s faithfulness over our lives and His name over the nations!  And let’s continue in prayer.
