Update - Feb 2024

Wairarapa is back! Baked-dry hills, rock-hard ground, 30 degree plus temperatures ... conditions resemble summer for the first time in 2 years. Winemakers are positively gleeful!

Discounts for subscribers remain in place

People are feeling battered about. Us too. The discount is our attempt to bring premium wine within reasonable purchase range.

We struggled with lowering the RRP or retaining it & applying a discount.

We decided the RRP would stand as an indicator of quality.

Remembering passwords, loyalty codes, PINs, anniversaries, ... pffft!

if you've forgotten your discount code ... call or email. No problem. And if you are yet to subscribe ... come hither

Carbon-based life form news ...

Our vinesman Dylan (seen here hauling away) was selected to travel to Waipara in May to be part of an inaugural exchange between Wairarapa & Waipara wine regions. One of 4, selected from 400 or so applicants. Well deserved! Respect & gratitude for Dylan's input this year. It takes massive amounts of passion, perserverance, skill & commitment to bring a crop to maturity especially the mercurial & flighty Pinot Noir grape! Proper vineyard work, across all seasonal phases rather than single functions, is a bizzaro blend of physical & mental, knowledge & experience but principally motivation & empathy for a living plant. Dylan has this mix & then some.

Come to Moses!

... That's us

Christmas & New Year happened. The hoped for break from the vineyard did not. Two unimpressed children. We did sneak away for 4 days at the end of January. To Oakura, south of New Plymouth. Beautiful spot. Postcard surf beach setting. And a superb Italian restaurant Toret Cucina Italiana.

Next. Finish netting this week. On to thinning & general plant management. Lots of prep for bottling -testing, labels, cases, closures etc. Somehow, no matter how organised you think you are it seems to end in an angstful rush.

Then some concentrated efforts to promote our wee endeavour & sell wine before harvest around late March. At which time ... flat out like a dragon drinking!

... Thank You! Mā te wā.
