March has arrived and I couldn't be more excited! Show pigs are in the barn and next week we will be weaning calves. Wade has always followed the Farmer's Almanac for when the wean calves, clip hair and breed cows. We will be checking our cows to see if they are pregnant next week too. Fingers crossed that all are pregnant! |

They have arrived! They are over the moon excited and you can tell! Sydney named her three: Big Beauty, Black Betty and Bullseye. Jackson named his three: Delta, Echo and Eric. We are looking forward to Spring Break, which is March 17th thru the 26th. It will be a lot of time spent in the barn getting ready for Spring Cattle & Pig Shows. ~Let's go showin'! |

What I am Reading & Watching |
| | This book is not your normal book. When I picked it up, I wasn't sure what to expect. Bowhunting? While Cameron Hanes is known as a bowhunter...he is so much more. This book is right along the lines of David Goggins books, which he does an afterward for this book. Take a read, or listen (Audible) to this. It won't disappoint. | | |
| | This show really needs to be binge-watched. There are a lot of key pieces that happen and if you forget, well you are kinda lost. LOL. Brief summary of the show: The McLusky family are in Kingstown, Michigan, where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry. | | |

Why Crate/Kennel Training is Important Training starts the minute you pick up your furry friend! Puppy-proofing you home is a huge undertaking, but truly sets both you and your puppy up for success. Know where your puppy will sleep, play and go potty. Also, think about what areas of your home will be off-limits. When you set them, stick to them. Here are my top tips: Keep an eye on your puppy at all times. Make bedtime extra cozy. The first few nights, make sure you keep their kennel away from where you can hear them. The first nights will be tough! Keep at schedule. Learn & watch your puppy's body language & potty signs Make sure you teach your puppy not to bite. Keep training a daily thing & use rewards.

When we send puppies home, we send a sample of our favorite pet shampoo from Monat. I signed up to be a Market Partner 5 years ago when they launched and believe in all their products 100% I used their haircare and skincare line. So does Sydney and Jackson. Wade still uses Melaleuca...it's about the only thing that gets piggy smells out, LOL! If you are interested in getting some or the spray, here is a link. | | |
