Dear Round-Up Readers,
What a year! THANK YOU for your support––reading, sharing, and engaging on LinkedIn and Instagram! How exciting that we now have a platform just for women who work in hotels. Since launching in March, hertelier has seen:
- Profiles of the coolest ladies from college interns and women in their first hotel jobs to General Managers and CEOs!
- Over 137 stories filled with advice, experience, new ideas, and tips for working smarter and living better.
- Over 78,000 page views
- Over 37,000 site sessions
Please continue to email me your suggestions about women you think we should profile, ideas, or topics you'd like to see covered. We welcome your input and look forward to bringing you more exciting content in 2022!!
The news has been nuts this week with Omicron causing havoc around the world. Too many COVID articles to include, suffice to say, Omicron is a fresh struggle for our industry. I hope you are doing OK. Instead, I've chosen just one uplifting article to share from the Wall Street Journal, "How the Pandemic Could Make the Future Brighter for Women in the Workplace" which makes a case for how the pandemic may result in less gender inequality at work and more equity at home.
On hertelier this week:
- Bring on the biophilia! The world's first whole life net-zero hotel opened in London and we have the scoop. Here's our interview with GM, Luana Giaveri, and head of sustainability for the parent company Lamington Group, Chantal Beaudoin.
- Who's ready for some holiday cheer? We bring you delicious cookie and cocktail recipes from around the world!
- Pandemic Pivot: the inspiring story of Tamar Lowell who created Cuiline, an online cooking school, from her culinary tour company. She shares how she did it and lessons learned along the way.
