NAMASTE!

NOTE FROM CHAIR ASHA:

Namaste Friends!

As we round out 2020, I would like to offer my heart-felt thanks to you: our very dear members and allies. When we launched NAHCA this past May we could not imagine what the months ahead would bring. The social turmoils and global health crisis we faced this year have highlighted the critical need for spiritual care. It is through your support and shared commitment we have been able to accomplish so much towards elucidating and amplifying the role of Hindu spiritual caregiving. Thank you.

Here is a recap of NAHCA milestones in our first six months:

  • Launched NAHCA via an inaugural virtual conference with 100+ registrants

  • Hosted 7 webinars including our December offering (see below)

  • Published 5 monthly newsletters

  • Gained 501c3 status

  • Created 2 professional forums for NAHCA members in healthcare and higher education

  • Began establishing partnerships with professional chaplaincy and spiritual care organizations

  • Initiated a social media presence

  • 42 inaugural members

If this is what we accomplished in six months then imagine what we can do in 2021!

Contemporary Social Justice and Ancient Scriptures:
Encouraging Curiosity Towards a Deeper Connection

Speakers: Dr. Preeta Banerjee and Mr. Tahil Sharma

As we encounter scriptures thousands of years old and apply them to our spiritually aligned activism today, how can we entertain different perspectives and various

interpretations to find the underlying and timeless lessons?  Can we move

towards deep meaning and personal significance when we read the tales of our

Gods and Goddesses? Can we encourage curiosity and can that process help us

reclaim our spiritual, philosophical and psychological traditions?

$10 plus processing fees
