Where has the time gone?! (which is why this newsletter is more of a mid-November newsletter!). We are less than 7 weeks away from a new year and this year has been one for the books!! No matter what has happened this year, during this time of approaching the holiday season, let me urge you to remind yourself of the things you are thankful for. It's become cliché and is said every year, but this year in particular, know that you've survived the hardest days and there are more than a few things you can be thankful for. I urge you to resist the typical conversation about the negative of this year and focus on the wins (big or small). The shift of energy is real! |

One of my favorite ways to engage students in the beginning of a session (or longer) is to start with something quiz-like and "Quizlet" has been great for this. Quizlet is a website resource full of "quizzes/" (really flashcards) you can use with clients of al ages (adults with aphasia, language and artic kiddos, you name it!). www.quizlet.com *One tip is to search for popular genres or well known topics for the group or individual you are working with (ex: celebrities, holiday themes, etc) |

As we move into Thanksgiving, take some time to really relax, in whatever way that looks like for you, engaging in whatever activities refuel you and give joy. Not only on Thanksgiving Day, but make it a habit throughout each week to add more life to our life. Remember to stay safe and continue all the practices that are advised to keep us all safe during this cold and flu/pandemic season. ~Stay safe! Stay well! |
