Questions to ask ourselves while we quarantine:

1.  Who am I checking on or connecting with today?

2.  What expectation of "normal" am I letting go today?

3.  How am I getting outside today?

4.  How am I moving my body today?

5.  How am I expressing my creativity today?

6.  What type of self care am I practicing today?

7.  What am I grateful for today?

The 28th annual Letter Carriers' Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive, scheduled for May 9, 2020, has been postponed. The National Association of Letter Carriers as well as their national food partners, are fully committed to rescheduling the food drive later in 2020. A new date has not yet been scheduled.

Each year this drive has been truly a blessing for the Pine Island Food Pantry and often the donations, which have totaled more than 6,000 pounds of food yearly, stock the Panty through the long hot summer months. Pine Island Food Pantry serves Pine Island and Matlacha residents and it is the only Lee County food pantry that is allowed to keep food donations collected on the island during the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

The Pantry is open Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30 -10:30am, but closed holidays.  It is located at the Life Center at Our Lady of Miraculous Church on 12175 Stringfellow Rd. in Bokeelia.  For directions and a list of pantry needs, visit their new website at https://pineislandfoodpantry.org/

Donations of nonperishable food can be dropped off at the following locations: Winn-Dixie, V.F.W., American Legion, Pine Island Moose, Stonegate Bank and the Matlacha Post Office. Monetary donations can be mailed to Pine Island Food Pantry 12175 Stringfellow Rd, Bokeelia, FL 33922. Checks should be made out to the “Pine Island Food Pantry. Any questions please call 239-443-6561 and leave a message. Our Email is pineislandfoodpantry@gmail.com
