BCREA Launches Privacy Notice and Consent Form Video for Consumers

The British Columbia Real Estate Association (BCREA) has created a new video to help consumers better understand the Privacy Notice and Consent form, and how REALTORS® protect consumer privacy and personal information during and after real estate transactions.

The video explains the Privacy Notice and Consent form, and also reviews privacy laws, explains primary and secondary uses of personal information, and lets consumers know they can feel safe when disclosing their personal information.

Happy New Year everyone!

Real estate in 2020 — What’s going to happen?:

From my perspective (based on how 2019 finished off), 2020 will be a stronger year for Sellers, and we will see more equity for home owners in the Vernon area.

Quarterly Forecasts

Ottawa, ON, December 16, 2019 - The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) has updated its forecast for home sales activity via the Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) Systems of Canadian real estate boards and associations this year and for 2020.

Locally, we’ve come off a lot stronger in the last quarter and are set to continue on the same trajectory.

We’ve definitely noticed an increase in values in most areas around Vernon, especially the single-family residential home under $475,000 from 2 years ago - this should continue, as we are starting to see less inventory on the market.

Most of last year, we were in a Buyer market (in the $550,000-$800,000 price range)  but now that seems to have levelled off to being a bit more balanced - we will see if this continues into summer.

And of course in the last quarter, I continue to notice bigger sales over $1 million in the Coldstream, Vernon and Silver Star areas.

Feel free to call/text/email if you have any questions or want to grab a coffee :)

Jake
