OCTOBER SHOUTOUT LET'S TALK ABOUT TIME |
|
|
Change of Seasons and Time Management As we round the corner on October, time feels so much more prevalent to me. Maybe it’s the longer shadows in the afternoon, the shorter days, or the darker nights, but time feels different. I have always had a keen appreciation for and awareness of time – so it makes sense that helping others manage their time is part of the work and service I do out in the world through my business. Naturally, I’m always curious in how other people spend their time and use their time, so when I read on Our World In Data an article on how people across the world spend their time it caught my eye not only because it’s quite interesting, but also the awesome infographic that they use to share information. Even if you don’t want to read the article, I encourage you to click on the link below to check out the very interesting data and graphics about our most precious resource—time. Enjoy your time these next few weeks and I’ll see you on November 1 with my inaugural post on SHE MEANS BUSINESS! |

Client Corner Brighten Solar Co. Last spring, I began working with a local solar company called Brighten Solar Co. and it’s been such an exciting journey of discovery! One of the things I love most about my work is that it's not tied to a specific industry—every small business faces similar challenges as they grow. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of the process, helping them find the right solutions to meet their unique needs. While supporting their team in achieving their goals more efficiently, I also get to dive into the business and learn a ton of new and fascinating things. My work focuses on business coaching, particularly in areas like team dynamics, systems and processes, communication, and accountability and these are all across the board familiar to small businesses. |

Brighten Solar is a dynamic, young team committed to making a difference, one solar panel at a time. They’ve built a strong team that includes installers, project managers, marketing+sales, and of course leadership, all facing the challenges and rapid changes that come with growth. Together, we've identified areas for improvement in team development, processes, and meetings—adding new ones and streamlining others. We're also working to maintain accountability for their continued growth and future steps. They have an incredibly dynamic set of leaders in Jeremy and Marine who lead by example in every area when it comes to learning, leaning in, and supporting the growth of their business and employees. I have a passion for small teams, especially those with 20 people or fewer because we can make quick decisions that have an immediate impact. Working with small teams often feels like being part of a family, and I love supporting the human side of business as much as the strategic side. If you are local to the Central Coast of California, I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Solar can feel confusing and hard to grasp in areas like batteries, car charging, savings, rebates, etc. Brighten Solar provides extensive education, support, and knowledge in all these areas, proving they are the leader in the solar industry. As a locally owned company, they’re committed to our community. Not to mention, they’ve won the BEST OF category in the Independent for the 6th year!" Reach out if you would like an introduction to this amazing business and I’m happy to connect you to them… I can’t wait to see what’s next for this amazing business! |

What I'm Reading The Anatomy of Anxiety I first heard about this book on Liz Moody’s podcast (one of my favorites) and the way she talked about the practicality of the content appealed to me enough so that I bought it without even researching it. I have found this book to be INCREDIBLY helpful, practical and useful. Even if you don’t suffer from anxiety in any way (are you super human?) or don’t really think anxiety affects you (are you joking?) then I still recommend this book because I was sort of in that boat too. Then I read this and realized that these very practical ways of looking at stress shows how it affects all of us. And I found what we can do on a daily basis to stay on top of our mental health is just so helpful and insightful. I highly recommend this one! | | |
