In last month's newsletter we featured Nena, Zoey, and Zeus, all of whom were at SARL waiting to find their forever homes. Well, they did! |

Nena's new mom initially came to meet Zoey, who soon afterwards was adopted by another family. Then she and her husband met Nena, who went right to over to them wagging her tail and smiling. They instantly fell in love and she went home. As you can see, she's now living her best life! |

Zoey's new parents were smitten with her as soon as they met her and really wanted to adopt her. However, they needed permission from their landlord to have her in their home. After waiting patiently for some time for the thumbs up, the day finally came! They were thrilled she was still available and came right in to bring her home. |

|
Zeus, everyone's favorite mush mellow, found his perfect family. The big guy has three human siblings and a canine sister named Stella. He'll get plenty of playtime in his big, fenced-in yard, and his mom has a horse, so he'll be hanging out at the barn, too. |

STORM AND ALBIE A TALE OF TWO SPECIAL KITTIES |

Storm and Albie came to SARL in late 2022. Albie was a shy kitty. Storm, however, was absolutely terrified of people. They were placed in one of the quiet rooms in Kitty City specifically designed for very shy cats. SARL staff and volunteers spent months working with Storm to gain his trust and help him overcome his fears. During that time, he and Albie became inseparable. Eventually all the hard work and patience started to pay off. Storm began to venture out and walk around with people in the quiet room, and he’d even play with interactive toys. In January, some new kitties moved into Storm and Albie’s room, and they came right out to meet them. Staff and volunteers continued to make progress with their issues. Now they needed to find the right home. In late February, a couple who recently lost their two kitties met Storm and Albie and decided to adopt them. They agreed to wait until the staff felt they were ready to go home. Mom and dad set up a room for the kitties to settle in and get comfortable in their new home. They both work from home, so the boys will have plenty of company. Storm and Albie finally went home with all of their favorite toys, food, and plenty of treats. It was a bittersweet day for the staff and volunteers, but everyone was truly happy for these two special kitties who will now live a wonderful life together in their new home. |
