Santa's Mail Box in Willow Park

Summary: Careful of Santa's naughty-and-nice list. "Nice" Willow Park residents may use the Letters for Santa Box at the Willow Park City Hall on El Chico Trail to send their Christmas wishes to Santa.

Governor Abbott Renews Drought Disaster Declaration for December 2023, including Parker Co.

Summary: Parker County is included in Governor Abbott's November declaration of drought conditions. The declaration means the counties included will have access to additional resources to "cope" with the disaster." And it means Parker County citizens need to be mindful of weather conditions, water usage, and fire usage.

Sam Bass Road Drainage Issues. Needed Changes brought to City Council by Willow Park Citizens.

Summary: During a November 2023 Council Meeting, two residents of Sam Bass Road made a presentation on the drainage issues on Sam Bass Drive and on West Stagecoach Trail. Here is the presentation. Update: During the 23 December 2023 Council Meeting, this issue was addressed by the City.

New Landscaping for New City Hall

Summary: The City has hired engineers to plan improvements to the front of the new City Hall. The $88K contract is for improvement plans only and not for the actual landscaping. The funds for this project were included in the $8.5M debit to purchase and improve the entire building.

Willow Park rejects class action lawsuit on "forever chemicals" in our water - well and Fort Worth.

Summary: Manmade "forever chemicals" stay in your body, forever. Although there are "currently no signs of the chemicals in the [Willow Park] groundwater... some [Fort Worth] surface water resources were positive for some of the chemicals and we get our surface water from Fort Worth."
