WiN Global YG's Active contribution Atoms4Netzero conference as youth advocate

WiN Global Young Generation demonstrated its unwavering commitment to climate advocacy and knowledge sharing at the latest conference. As active climate change advocates, WiN Global YG seized this opportunity to amplify the voices of young people and present their inaugural paper on WiN Global's pivotal role in enhancing youth engagement within global dialogue.

The honor of presenting this pioneering work fell to the knowledge transfer lead, Ilieva Ilizastigui Arisso, who eloquently represented WiN Global YG during one of the conference's sessions. This marked a significant moment, underscoring the critical role of young professionals in shaping the global discourse on climate and nuclear technology.

Furthermore, the conference served as an invaluable platform for reuniting numerous WiN Global YG members, initiating new projects, and strengthening collaborations with key organizations in the field, including Nuclear for Climate, Women in Nuclear IAEA (WiN IAEA), and International Youth Nuclear Congress (IYNC). This synergy with like-minded organizations reinforces our collective commitment to working together towards a sustainable future.

In addition to the substantial discussions and networking, the conference offered a unique opportunity for WiN Global YG members, as well as members of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), to meet and foster new connections. This interconnectedness is a testament to our shared dedication to making a positive impact on the world, not only through the lens of nuclear technology but also in addressing the urgent challenge of climate change.

As we continue to advocate for change and progress in the field, WiN Global YG remains devoted to representing the aspirations and voices of the younger generation on the global stage. We are excited to build upon the momentum of this conference and explore new horizons for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and sustainable solutions. Together, we work towards a brighter and more sustainable future for all.

#NuclearFest

The first version of #NuclearFest in #Chile was held on 13 October, organised jointly by the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Santiago de Chile and the Chilean Nuclear Energy Commission.

This first meeting brought together other institutions and people involved in the subject and all the interested public, with the aim that through the presentation of the panel of experts everyone can understand and learn about the current situation of the nuclear sector and ionising radiation in Chile. Stephanie Neira our Communications Group Leader was invited to share about WiN Global Young Generation and the role it plays in the inclusion of new generations in the nuclear field. We appreciate the invitation we received from the organisers and hope that instances like this will be replicated all over the world.
