Your Voice, Your Vote

It's Your Right and Your Responsibility to Vote

During election periods, it's easy to become overwhelmed by the barrage of information and emotions. It may seem easier to turn off the TV, ignore the advertisements, and wait until the election is over, however, voting is a fundamental right and a cornerstone of any thriving democracy. It is the means by which citizens collectively express their will, influence government decisions, and shape the future of their nation. While the act of voting may seem routine, it carries profound significance in ensuring that the principles of democracy remain strong and vibrant. So let's get out and vote.

State and County general elections will be held Tuesday, November 7th. Polls will be open 7:00am - 7:00pm. Click the links to view the sample ballot or find more information regarding voting.

Fun Fact:  Trick-or-treating has existed since medieval times. Taking candy from strangers on one night a year (and one night only!) isn't a new or uniquely American tradition. Back then, it was known as "guising" in Scotland and Ireland. Young people dressed up in costumes and went door-to-door looking for food or money in exchange for performing songs, poems or other "tricks."
