Who is helping whom

Tanaya Henry - Founder
2nd Quarter Issue 5

Depending on your your vanish point volunteering can look very different, but still it leads to the same question. who is helping who?

Is it the organization helping volunteers improve there health? Research says that Volunteering provides physical and mental rewards. Studies have shown it Reduces stress when you focus on someone other than yourself and it interrupts usual tension-producing patterns.

Is it the board member that is helping strategize to ensure the organization is around for years to come?

Maybe it's the community the organization serves in, volunteering encourages civic responsibility and is an investment in the community and the people who live in it.

It might be the people who are being served by the organization. who also serve on boards and committees to make sure everyone's voice is being heard and needs are being met.

No matter how you look at it everyone benefits from volunteering.

Maya Angelou says it best
“I have found that among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver.”

The Work We Do

We would like to introduce you to

Our Tag Line

Our tag line is Step aside I'm on a mission
You may notice that the tag line is singular. It does not say step aside we are on a mission. That's intentional. As much as we serve outwardly the tag line reminds us to look inwardly at our actions. Not all the times we fulfill our mission accompanied by others but that does not stop us from fulfilling the mission that burns within our heart. When we say step aside I'm on a mission; It is a call to action to stop, take notice of those around you, and move forward in caring for those who are in need.

Our mission is hygiene and we hope yours is too.
