Today, the Hickory community received a letter from Mrs. Mabery outlining the actions taken by the school to address growing concerns over the spread of COVID-19 into our community. While there are no confirmed cases in TUSD, the PTA supports the school's decision to limit large group events and visitors on campus. That said, many of our PTA events will be postponed until further notice. In the near future, these events include:
- Jog-a-thon (Chairperson: Lorie Halitzka)
- Association Meeting/Parenting Workshop
- Multicultural Week (Chairpersons: Christina Choi & Daisy Lui)
- Bike Rodeo (Chairperson: Oscar Hernandez)
- Student Showcase Day/Jersey Mike's Lunch
- 5th Grade Getty Field Trip
We remain hopeful that we will be able to reschedule these events before the end of the year, so that our students are able to participate and experience these enriching activities. We would like to thank all our program chairs for their hard work with these events as they have all put in countless hours in preparing for each.
