Mindful Viewing

One of the most beautiful and captivating video images I’ve seen this year, this “Glass Brain Fly-through" (1:23) is an animated 3D rendering of the human brain by a UCSF neuroscience lab. Most excitingly, it shows how we now have these innovative and unique ways to view and learn about our most important organ related to our personalities and ability to think, reason, feel emotions, and perceive. Mindful Listening

Can we just call him by his first name now? Whether through this newsletter or any number of other ways, you have certainly heard of Jon Kabat-Zinn. Just released this month, in this interview he once again connects with the heart of mindfulness and will perhaps yours as well, as it did mine. In Meditation as a Love Affair, his affection for meditation practice comes through. Enjoy some time with Jon in this very recent interview on the 10% Happier podcast.

Tara Brach came to mind recently so I searched for a meditation by her that I hadn't heard before. I found this lovely one that is only a little over 3 minutes.
