Hello Idaho Acupuncturists,
Callie here, the IAA president. I hope that the late summer/early fall transition has been smooth for you. I find a bit of sadness creep in as I feel the cold air approach, but I know that all is well and it is time to start the descent down and inward. I get excited about scarves, leg warmers and sauerkraut, soups and fruit crisps. I get inspired by my patients and supporting their unique journeys inward as well.
I am really eager to write to you and invite you to please join us for our Annual Conference and Dinner/meeting this year! They are both going to be splendid! You can see all the details of when and where to register below in this newsletter, the IAA website as well as the postcards we hope you are receiving.
My journey so far in my first year as president has afforded some amazing lessons and opportunities that I could not have foreseen. Firstly, it is an honor be supported by our wonderful acupuncture community here in Idaho. We have a unique occasion in this state to shine and support many individuals due to the limited number of practitioners in the state. I also appreciate that many of us are here because of the wonderful nature opportunities that Idaho has to offer. So, thank you for bringing this medicine to the community to Idaho. We are all stronger for it.
I have also been pleasantly surprised at the ease at which this conference has come together! Everyone we asked said yes to the call, and they are most enthusiastic about coming to share with us all. I feel this may be the best year yet. And finally having the opportunity to be on the front lines with our Lobbyist, Lance Giles and to be of service to all of you is a huge gift and I thank you for this opportunity.
I look forward to seeing you so very soon!
Much love and many blessings,
Callie R Blackwood, MSOM
IAA President
