PLEASE BE A COURTEOUS AUDIENCE MEMBER TO BOTH DANCERS AND TO OTHER PARENTS! Our dancers have worked so hard to get these dances ready to showcase and it is SO MUCH more fun when they are able to perform for an audience! PLEASE be a courteous audience member to our dancers AND to other parents who are trying to watch their dancers perform by NOT getting up to leave the auditorium until intermission. This is not only distracting to the dancers on stage, but also often blocks other parents ability to see their dancer on stage. We have purposely created shows that are reasonable in length and have assembled a wonderful staff of volunteers to assist dancers backstage. Both of these things are done to give our parents the opportunity to enjoy the duration of the recital... distraction free! So please take this into consideration as you plan your recital day... the dancers who perform at the end of the day love an audience just as much as those who perform at the beginning of the day! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR BEING A CONSIDERATE AUDIENCE MEMBER! |
THIS WEEK IS HOLIDAY SPIRIT WEEK! Dancers are invited and encouraged to have some fun December 5th - 10th by wearing anything and everything that is holiday themed! The only real rule is that you need to be able to dance in your holiday get-up! Participate as much or as little as you want and be sure to take pictures and tag us! |

At Midwest Dance Mechanix, earning your pointe shoes is an honor as it takes many months, sometimes years, of hard work and dedication! Dancers earn their pointe shoes once they have completed a skills test in which they are able to technically demonstrate over 20 ballet skills. CONGRATULATIONS TO THESE DANCERS WHO EARNED THEIR POINT SHOES THIS MONTH! |

DID YOU KNOW? While this is the 5th year for MDM's stand-alone production of the "SHORT & SUITE NUTCRACKER", it's actually the 12th Nutcracker production that MDM has produced?! We started small and continue to expand and grow each year! It's fun to see how much the production has grown over the years... from a few dances in the Holiday Showcase to a full fledged production! Below are pictures showing this progression :) |
