Today on the third Sunday before Advent (and 32nd Sunday in Ordinary time) we hear of some religious people trying to catch Jesus out by asking difficult questions about the resurrection. Jesus replies by saying that the Kingdom of God is not like this world, and that the things of this world have no place in the Kingdom of God, because in heaven no one can die anymore. Jesus goes on to say that in God, all are alive, even those who have died to this life. These words give us assurance and hope that our life on earth is a pilgrimage that will fade away when we reach the everlasting Kingdom of Heaven. |

WE WILL REMEMBER THEM Next Sunday our Solemn Requiem Mass will begin at 10.30 to incorporate an Act of Remembrance including the traditional two minutes’ silence at 11am as, with King and Country, we commemorate all those who have given their lives in war. |
