In the sales record for February 2021, we could have predicted that the home sales growth continues performing strong, amounted 10,970 sales through TRREB MLS system.  A 52.5% increase compared in February 2020. The average sale price was  $1,045,488,  up by 14.9% year over year.   The strong motivation for buying the properties is carried forward from the 2nd half last year which are mainly driven by the low borrowing cost, the popularity of low-rise properties in suburbs with more spacious provided and seeking to protect the value of their money. 

 

It is recorded 6,573 sales in GTA from 1 March to 14 March 2021.

  • Detached house - 4943 sales; the average price at yr-over-yr % increased 23.1%
  • Semi-detached house - 977 sales; the average price at yr-over-yr % increased 20.3%
  • Townhouse -1841 sales; the average price at yr-over-yr % increased 17.3%

(The average price of low-rise segments increased in about 20% compared 2020.)

  • The condo apartment - 3116 sales; the average price at yr-over-yr % decreased -3.7%

(The apartment recorded 2,167 and 949 sales in "416" and "905" areas with similar increase rate of 60%+ compared February 2020)

Please note that the current sales records are mainly from the local buyers during this lockdown period. The new immigration target for 1.2M from 2021 - 2023 has not been fully implemented and the border has not yet opened.

 

Nanos surveyed with 507 downtown workers, including 385 people that work in offices link to More than six out of 10 downtown workers feel comfortable with return to office 

(it was conducted during the stay-at-home order and lock down period)

64% - feel comfortable with working at their downtown employment places now

15% - not feel comfortable working downtown now

19% - expressed neutral opinion

2% - unsure how they felt

Company culture and team spirit are learnt and built up through various working activities in the employment place.
