Happy summer, neighbors! 2023 has been a great year so far for our neighborhood. The Egg Hunt was bigger than ever, the park has been cleaned, and our block party was a blast thanks to a group of dedicated volunteers. Speaking of volunteering…our officer elections are coming up in September and we need folks to jump in on any board positions. If you are interested please contact nominations@mhckcivic.org.

Treasurer's Report

I am very pleased to report that the financial position of the association is strong. We currently have $6,218.58 in our checking account, with another $1,341.47 in our PayPal account. Our 2023 budget is on track and our biggest expenses of the year have been the Easter egg hunt at McKenney Hills Park, and the June block party at Capital View/Homewood Park. Both events were well attended!

A Hippity Hoppity Egg Findin' Good Time

Park Clean Up Heroes

Thanks to 18 volunteers we were able to collect 14 bags of garlic mustard and 4 bags of trash. We were joined by 5 students earning SSL hours and some hard working neighbors and friends. Great job everyone! Thank you so much to Rochelle for organizing this wonderful day of service in an effort to make the park a cleaner place for everyone to enjoy!
