I find February alarmingly short. I feel like I just got finished with January and now it's March. My husband and I also both forgot Valentine's Day this year. It just sneaked up on us. I find it unfair to have Valentine's Day on a Monday - it means you have to prepare the week before! I know Valentine's Day advertising is everywhere since the beginning of January but I tune that stuff out. So the Sunday before, when we confessed to each other that we had both forgotten, we decided that the pizza and beer we were having after a hike was our special Valentine's meal. Who says romance is dead?

In honor of the shortness (and sweetness) of February, I'm going to keep this newsletter short and sweet - longer newsletter next time!

A few months ago I mentioned that I and my team of excellent marketers are creating a joint brand. We're putting ourselves through the brand strategy paces that we work on with our clients and it's tough! But now we're ready to share our new name and logo!

Presenting...The Alkimie Collective!

I'm not going to explain the reasoning behind the name...yet, but rest assured, it's pretty killer. In the mean time, I will leave you with our awesome new logo courtesy of Gili Wolf of Bigbad Industries, our resident graphic designer. It's got all sorts of movement to it, yet real solidity and substance too. It's classic, with a twist. I am very excited about it. 

I love this stage of a new business venture because once you have a name and a logo, everything starts to become real. The next stage is to build ourselves a website so I'll share that when we're done and we'll do a full reveal! In the meantime, if you want to remind yourself of the members of my team, click below.
