We are excited to have participants return to programming at the Centre. We had a full summer of new programs with the Peace At Lunch (P.A.L. program serving 160 lunches) and Music on the Grounds hosting 50 guests and raising $3500 for the Centre. Regular maintenance and deep cleaning of the Centre has been completed, making us ready to welcome participants back to the Centre. Check out the fall programming details on the website. |

We look forward to Welcoming you at the Centre as we continue to plug into the undaunted hope of the Sisters of St Martha as we journey together into the future. In response to the Government of Alberta recent new temporary pandemic measures, the Board of Directors of the Martha Retreat Centre Society has agreed to comply with all public health restrictions as outlined in Order 42-2021. In brief, this message highlights the direct impact on the MRCS and outlines our compliance and enforcement strategy. Essentially nothing has changed from our previous year protocols, where health and safety have been a high priority. |

A cosmic notion of the Christ competes with and excludes no one, but includes everyone and everything (Acts 10:15, 34) and allows Jesus Christ to finally be a God figure worthy of the entire universe. Drawing on scripture, history, and spiritual practice, Rohr articulates a transformative view of Jesus Christ as a portrait of God’s constant, unfolding work in the world. The outcomes of this book study include insight into a previously forgotten teaching on Christ and utilizing contemplative practice as a tool for a deeper way into being. Introduction to Centering Prayer Time & LocationOct. 09, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Lethbridge, 1130 Scenic Dr S, Lethbridge, AB T1K 7J1, Canada About the EventIn the Christian tradition contemplative prayer is considered to be the pure gift of God. It is the opening of mind and heart - our whole being to God, The Ultimate Mystery, beyond thoughts, words, emotions. Centering Prayer is a method to facilitate the development of contemplative prayer by preparing our faculties to receive this gift. It is not meant to replace other forms of prayer; rather it casts a new light and depth of meaning on them. Centering prayer develops a deep relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship. The day provides input, practice, and discussion. Lunch included. Cost: $75 Facilitator: Pat Boehm | | |
