Andrea (9 month student) recently upgraded to a beautiful Zimmerman upright piano. In the holiday spirit of giving, she donated her keyboard which quickly found a new musical home.
Michael (2 year student) made a few drummers happy by gifting a couple hundred dollars worth of cymbal stands. Michael is a veteran drummer who decided to jump back into studying drums after a lengthy break.
Thanks so much to both students for their generosity.

Your Gift to the School - Post A Review

Last month I discussed the many ways musicians (and their parents) can use YouTube to stay motivated and inspire more practicing at home. This time around I want to share one of my favorite features most people don't know exists.
YouTube gives you the ability to control the playback speed. This is a priceless tool for learning difficult musical phrases. To access this feature on a computer, click the little cog in the lower right corner of a video. You'll need to click the 3 dots in upper right corner on the mobile app (phones or tablets). This will open a settings menu with "Playback speed" as one of the options. Click it and select how slow or fast you want the video to play. Give it a try and thank me later!

Monthly Reminders
The school will be closed for the holiday break starting December 23rd. Lessons will resume January 2nd. Keep in mind, the school is open 48 weeks per year. December is always a month where you are paying for 4 lessons although you receive less. There are several months throughout the year where you will receive 5 lessons without paying extra.
