 SIMPLY SHORT PLAY FESTIVAL
After much debate we have regrettably decided to cancel the SIMPLY SHORT PLAY FESTIVAL for 2020.    If you have purchased a ticket through Events Pronto, can you please email tepukerep01@gmail.com for your refund before 31 October 2020  including your:

Until we are at Level 1 we cannot plan on an end of year show but hopefully that won't be too far away.     

Introducing new, fun 
IMPROVISATION WORKSHOP
Maggie Marriner has been involved in Secondary School Drama for over 30 years.  Until recently she was the Head of Drama at Aquinas College.

We are delighted that Maggie is now offering to run our 
School Holiday Workshop 
10-14 year olds
Wed 30 September,
1-4 pm
$10 per student
No experience required

The Class will fill quickly so don't delay.

The last poetry evening was such a success we are holding another poetry and prose club night themed

This event will operate within Covid regulations.  

ANECDOTES FROM THE PAST:

At the original production of `Quiet Weekend` I was a technician at the Paengaroa radio transmitter and brought the NBCS record of the National Anthem to play. In the cramped St Pat`s Hall I placed it on the edge of the stage only for Josie Rice to make a grand entrance and smash the record. The NBCS no longer had God Save the Queen to play if required during transmission failures.

Opening nights were often a test of our power supply. As we added more spotlights and electrical heating, we often blew the pole fuses.  I was lighting technician when we produced `Goodnight Mrs Puffin` but when the lights completely went out everyone turned to me.  Luckily the linesman lived around the corner from the theatre and Maggie Copeland -Smith entertained the audience by torchlight while the problem was quickly solved and my embarrassment relieved.
