After another round of editing, we've moved on to our next book, Mary Two Legs. Mary is a human that was raised among the merfolk, think that she was a disabled mermaid. But when the truth comes out and the humans show up once more, Mary's whole world is thrown into turmoil.
Despite it being pretty early on in writing this new book (I started it just two short weeks ago), I'm almost a third of the way through the book. So far, it's coming out nicely, though I feel like I dropped a few possible plot points along the way. Oh well. That's what editing is for, right?
This next week I'll be away at a non-book related event and won't be getting much writing done. But don't worry. With my new schedule, I'm expecting to finish up Mary Two Legs early August and move on to continuing the Cary Simms series. It's looking like I'll be getting books 5 and 6 written before NaNoWriMo. I am very much looking forward to that.
But then part of the reason why I write is because I want to write it all. Every idea that comes my way has been nagging me to write it. If my books take off, that's great, because that means that I can write more.
