When he decides to move to L.A., she’ll do anything to keep him close. She gets a gig for his band across the border in Juarez but doesn’t realize the deal includes helping an evil newcomer bent on infiltrating the local drug scene. When she refuses to help, she makes an enemy willing to kill to get his way. Determined to prove she’s the opposite of her father, can Jessica save her community before she becomes the victim?

Book Recommendation

I'll Stop the World

by Lauren Thoman

This time-hopping thrilling read was impossible to put down. I loved the quirky characters and a truly high-stakes mystery that HAD to be solved.

The twists and turns lasted until the very end. I'll Stop the World was genuinely fun to read (although now the song is permanently etched into my brain).

I'm always looking for a great next read, please reply to this email with suggestions.

University of Washington: College Tours

Last week I visited five university campuses with my family. We were incredibly fortunate to make it to the Pacific Northwest when the cherry trees (and many other plants) were in full bloom.

Despite the beauty of these campuses, the tour was straight out of a National Lampoon Vacation movie. We took airplanes, rented cars, used Lyft, rode subways, and walked for miles. And all of these with a seventeen-year-old trying to figure out the rest of his life.

We also ate a meal on every campus, and that seems to be the one big change from my college days - way better food!

What's your favorite place to see flowers?
