The Key to Enlightenment

Here’s the spoiler - it is NOT your studies / practices / retreats / deep meditations ...

Yes, these have value for they train you in Self-Discipline [which, in itself, IS important, but will not lead you to the fullness of ‘Enlightenment’... at best it will lead you to ‘Wisdom’ - not the same thing]...

The true key to Enlightenment is simply Oneness.

So, could you just ignore ALL the Spiritual Teachings - and their demanding practices - and just go straight to ‘Oneness’... and if you did that, would you truly be ‘Enlightened’

The simple answer is “Yes”... but nothing is ever really simple.

So consider what it truly means to be in Oneness ...

Here there would be no difference between you and ANYTHING / ANYONE else in Creation !!!

Here there could not be any ‘enemies’- differences between individuals - or beliefs - would be as minute as deciding what kind of sandwich you should have for lunch [simply a matter of taste, but ultimately not that important, not worth fighting about].

You would have no ‘users and abusers’ - for whatever they do, that very thing they would experience - deeply... [thus no need for ‘punishment’, for they will inflict their own justice upon themselves].

There would be no greed, no exploitation, no pollution, no violent abuse... for anything done to diminish the Self or others would be fundamentally contrary to our most basic state of Being.

Ultimately ‘Oneness’ links each one of us to everyone else AND to everything else. [living and non, on this planet and the whole of Creation].

Others’ pain or sorrow would be felt as our own...and equally their joys and happiness... So, personal Life would be multiplied, and every living Being will come together to help those in need - for in uplifting them, so we become uplifted.

Joy, happiness, wellbeing, comfort, security... will be the standards of Life ... and Pure Love its Foundation.

Imagine not simply ‘listening to music’, but ‘being the music’... what a wonderful experience Life now is !

You, the reader, do you think this is a false utopia, an idyllic, philosophical nonsense exercise, or maybe the sprouting of some ex-hippy / new age / liberal propaganda, none of which is a true reflection on how this world really works ...?!?

To that I will simply point out that ‘the way this world works’ is a mess, filled with hunger, with poverty, with wars, with senseless violence... all perpetrated by some ‘Ideology’ which is simply an excuse to hurt and abuse others...

Have we forgotten the Great Teachings found in ALL Spiritual Lineages [from Christianity to Buddhism to Shamanism and more]:- First do no harm... Love thy neighbor as thyself... Treat others as you would like to be treated ...

I am appalled by how many people - especially leaders - who stand on their ‘Religious Ideologies’ just so they can have an excuse to hurt, use, abuse, and belittle others ... and for those of you who claim to be practicing Christians, let me be very clear - there IS an Hell... and your Afterlife is shaped by who you are and what you do... You may fool others, you can’t fool God ...

[and for those who understand Karma - What you do unto others shall come back to you threefold...]  

I wonder how many people with advanced degrees are in Hell ... Hummm ... ‘Good company’...

And so, to those of you who are serious about walking this Path of Light and Wisdom:- Love is the Foundation to Oneness - the Key to Enlightenment... Practice what you preach...

We all walk this Path together - let the Light of your Soul be your Guide...  Namaste.

Oneness - the Key to Enlightenment 

As ‘Love’ is the Foundation to Oneness, then examine Who and What you love...

How much Love, Beauty, Happiness, Nurturance, Health and Wellbeing is actively shaping you / your Life ?

Do these energies accept and embrace / support you [just as you are]... or are they manipulating you to be other than yourself ?

Do you have true Self-Expression...or are you required to bow down to others’ practices ?

Examine yourself:- how much anger, resentment, judgment, criticism, abuse, exploitation ... do you express ?

Each of these is a contaminant, a distortion of your true Light, a corruption of your True Self... seek Healing !!

Life is an exchange of energies - what do you give out... and what do you get back ...?

What would make you happy... and what do you need to do to be happy ...?

Examine your Life - are you making this world a better place?

Take the appropriate actions to live a healthy, loving life...

All of the above are part of the Foundation you need before you can move on

Once you have accomplished [most of] these, now you can practice Oneness -

Empathy is the Bridge that connects you to another [person or thing].

Find something that you like, that is positive, healthy, uplifting [this can be an activity like dance, or a passive experience like listening to music... or being with Nature / breathing a beautiful scent / looking at Beauty...]

Open yourself up to this experience...breathe it into yourself, and breathe yourself into it... and gently merge together - Be-as-One...

You can do this very effectively with pets / plants / some crystals / perfume... they will all allow you to experience Oneness.

More Advanced -

For those of you who are in a true Soul-Mate relationship [be this with a spouse or a child], this past life connection will already have established an Empathic Link.

IF you both agree, and are ready, you can go deeper into this Link, and touch Oneness - the mergence-in-the-other... [breathe the other into you, as you breathe yourself into them].

However - at the end be sure that you properly detach, fully come back to your Center, and ground.

[in our current state of evolution a long term mergence with another person can lead to mental confusion as both of your thoughts merge...and are no longer able to distinguish yours from the other. 

Be sure that you know how to detach, ground, and come back fully to your center]
