We are quickly approaching the midpoint of the year, marked by nature's summer solstice here in the Northern Hemisphere (winter solstice in the Southern Hemisphere!) and we can't believe how quickly it has come around.

The solstice is an amazing time for celebration as we move from a place of 'action' to a place of 'nourishment'. It can be seen as a time to enjoy the fruits of our labour as we receive more sunlight than any other time of the year, and therefore our crops do too! 🌾

We've thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful sunshine we have been experiencing here in the UK for the last few weeks and hope that it continues to bring more of ourselves and nature to life for the next few months ☀️

42 Acres Signature Weekend Retreat 🌳

This is a call for a fun, restorative and transformational experience in nature and community!

Hosted by Seth Tabatznik and the 42 acres team, attendees will explore the land through guided walks and enjoy music, meditation and peace whilst nurtured by nutritious and hyper-local food. Think morning yoga, wild swimming, relaxing in the woodland sauna, stories around the fire and many more wholesome experiences.

Bertha Foundation is excited to announce the launch of the fifth Bertha Challenge; an opportunity for activists and investigative journalists to spend a year working on one pressing social justice challenge and to deliver a body of work at the end of the Fellowship year.

 The challenge will begin in January 2024 with a focus on disinformation and the climate crisis, specifically supporting Bertha Fellows to answer the following question:

How do disinformation campaigns help to protect corporate interests, the political status quo, and allow for further industrial corruption, all of which prioritises profit over people and planet?

Small Giants - Journey To Impact Programme

Whether you are a financial wealth holder (those who have created wealth in their generation and those who are recipients of a family wealth legacy), or you are responsible for investing the capital of an organisation, fund or foundation, Journey to Impact is for you. 

This six part virtual course hosted by Small Giants Academy will support you in thinking about how to transition your resources to impact, and provide you with a network of like-minded peers to explore how to use private capital to manifest and implement personal and family values – for current and future generations.

This is a 6-week online program running July 20 until August 24, meeting weekly on Thursdays from 2-5pm AEST.

🌀 Flow Funding Stories 🌀

One of our amazing Flow Funders, Daniele Custódio (a PhD student in Food and Nutrition and an activist in the fight of hunger and the eradication of poverty) shares her inspiring flow funding story with us from 2022.

"I allocated most of the Flow Funding resources to urban agriculture in São Paulo, especially the Association of Organic Producers of São Mateus – AAZL.

With the resource, it was possible to hire an agronomic engineer for six months to accompany the farmers in planting planning, renewal of organic certification and in care and production management."

Full Moon in Sagittarius

The month of May was filled with powerful Eclipse and Taurus energy, and we’re now getting ready to experience the Full Moon in Sagittarius on June 3rd, where the axis of knowledge will be illuminated. This will be an excellent time for you to connect with the seeker, explorer, and life-long learner in you!

Looking back to May 5th, we experienced a potent Lunar Eclipse in Taurus & Scorpio, calling us to heal past traumas that might be blocking us from the highest expression of our sense of worthiness. 

Two weeks later on May 19th, New Moon in Taurus occurred, highlighting one of the most important alignments of the year with the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus, and the North Node together in Taurus. This New Moon called us to plant new seeds related to our resources, values, and self-worth.

Jupiter, the planet of expansion, will be in Taurus for the next year until May 2024, helping us build steady foundations and claim abundant resources for our spiritual endeavors.
