What are job seekers saying about their job search experience?
Senior executives accustomed to being recruited away and having job options waiting are getting surprised by interviewing with potential employers and not receiving offers. For some, this is the first time in their career when a job search took work and they are developing the skills and mental resilience to stay positive, network, and focus on fit.
What trends are you noticing?
People continue rethinking their careers, focusing on what they really want to do with their lives. Career pivots are viewed positively. Candidates are willing to make tradeoffs to enhance their well-being. Those who want to work remotely are digging in and only considering fully remote opportunities. Norms and conventions are being broken. For example, my friend @Will Canestaro recently posted about shifting attitudes toward academics and researchers working in industry.
