What’s that sound? Oh, just a little bubbly and wedding bells… That’s right, folks! My man Charlie and I are gettin’ hitched! |
I couldn’t be more thrilled to exclaim “I do!” this July. Not only is Charlie the best guy, he also appreciates my taste in wine (thank goodness)! I’m still deciding which champagne we’ll pop after our vows, but trust me, you’ll be hearing about it. For our honeymoon, we’ll set sail up the coast of BC on Charlie’s family’s boat. Can’t wait to share which wine I’ve chosen to pair with our fresh catch! Stephen and Delilah will be running the shop for a few weeks while I’m away. Be sure to stop by, show them some love, and pick up a few of the beautiful new selections we have in for the season. |

Many of you have expressed excitement about the opening of our wine bar—and we’ve been working hard here at the shop to welcome all of you in style! As you might imagine, the preparation involves a lot of moving parts and pieces, but we’re making solid progress and look forward to opening later this summer or early fall. Stay tuned for updates via email and social media. Charlie and I hope you’ll join us for a glass of wine on opening night. What a gift it would be to come back from our honeymoon and pour wine for all of you! |

Once the wine bar is up and running, we’ll be adding another wine lover to our team! We’re looking for a person who’s excited about wine, but they don’t need to be an expert—just eager to learn. Our ideal candidate is great with numbers, detail-oriented, possesses strong computer skills, and will be an engaging member of our team. We’re a family here at Jessi’s Wine & Goods, so the person who joins us should have a friendly personality and be passionate about serving our awesome customers. If you or anyone you know fits this description, we’d love to chat—and now is the time to reach out! |

DELIGHTS FROM MY RECENT TRIP TO PASO ROBLES AND SAN LUIS OBISPO! |
Boy oh boy, do I love me some Rhône! (yes, above is a pic of my wine stained face after 2 days of tasting) In late April I was fortunate to attend Hospice du Rhône’s biannual flagship event in Paso Robles, where oenophiles from all over the world gather to celebrate Rhône wines and winemakers. It was totally epic. I attended seminars on Hermitage and Ventoux, tasted fabulous wines from international Rhône producers as well as from producers all over the world that work with Rhône varietals, and enjoyed yummy dinners paired with beautiful glasses of Rhône to complement. Some of my fave wines featured at the gathering: |

Tablas Creek – Paso Robles, CA (Splendid selections now available in the shop) Kimsey – Ballard Canyon AVA, Santa Barbara, CA (Coming soon to Jessi’s) Coster dels Olivers Priorat – Catalonia, Spain (Now available in the shop) Peachy Canyon – Paso Robles, CA (West Side Zin now available in the shop) Qupé – Central Coast, CA (Syrah now available in the shop) Gramercy Cellars – Walla Walla, WA (Picpoul in the shop and reds arriving soon)

What an incredible site visit to the Scar of the Sea and Lady of the Sunshine production facility and Chene vineyard in San Luis Obispo! We were so inspired by husband-and-wife-team Mikey and Gina Giugni’s stunning work in the wine industry. Their wines are exquisite and a true expression of hands-on, biodynamic farming. We are honored to share these small production wines with you. Visit the shop to pick up their Chardonnay, Rosé, Sparkling Rosé, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Gamay, and Chevey (sauv & chard blend). And stay tuned! We are working on planning a tasting at Jessi’s Wine & Goods with Mikey and Gina when they visit Montana in the near future. |

My first artwork made for a wine label is out and available at the shop. Meet HUCK! A bodacious juicy sparkling rosé of Carignana and a little Rousanna from our talented friend Avi Deixler of Absentee Winery. |
The summer of 2019 before I opened the shop I reached out to Avi, one of my favorite winemakers, to see if he’d be interested in my creating art for a label of one of his wines. To my surprise, he responded and said he was interested. Over the course of a month I worked to create something that spoke to him and was expressive of his magical wines. 40 cat drawings later we decided on this one. Huck is named after Avi’s black cat Huckleberry and a wine you don’t want to miss. |
