WORCS PRIMM,NV

NOV 13-15

WORCS Primm, NV round 8 was another one for the books. We are in the Pro 2 Lite championship lead with Tyler Lynn coming into this round and knew we needed to use race craft to put us further ahead. Getting closer to the end of the season means everyone is getting worn down and putting everything into these last couple rounds.

Saturday Thomas Dunn and Tyler Lynn had to qualify using this race to learn the track and save their energy for the pro race on Sunday. During their qualifying the women's pro race and pro practice occurred. Sharon made some big changes on her bike brining the ride height back to a normal level which ended up making her ride out of her element most the race. With time she will adjust to the changes, which will benefit her going forward in these GP style tracks. Caitlyn Kurtz also had her race on Saturday in the women's expert class and once again showed more progress. She had some falls, but put a good fight on the track and finished strong.

The Sunday schedule was a bit unusual because we shared the weekend with the quads. The schedule ended up putting the pro race at 8:50 in the morning so the track was a bit smoother than normal pro races. The 120 minute race allowed for a lot of strategy to come in to play with some teams needing to pit twice and others pitting early depending on where their riders position was. By the end we had some solid results and effort from our riders and pit crew.

TYLER LYNN

1ST

PRO 2 LITES

Tyler put on a dominate ride, finishing 1st place and one lap more over everyone in the class. He is now in a really good position to finish this year with a win in the championship and look forward to the rest of the season.

In his words: "I got off to a mid pack start, but made it into the top 5 in the first few corners putting me in a good position right off the bat. I put in a charge the first lap and made my way up to second right behind Gus riordan. After putting the pressure on him he made a mistake that would let me by and Into the lead. I put a few sprint laps in to create a gap between me and the rest of the field. I found a flow quickly and my bike was working phenomenally in the deep chop and big whoops. Worcs put together an amazing course and the cold weather would keep the moisture in the ground very well. I caught the pro 2 guys pretty quickly and had some sick battles with a few of them which would make the racing even more fun. I would eventually come into the finish with a 2 minute gap between me and second place and put myself in a good position in the championship headed into the last round. Thanks to all that make it possible."

JUSTIN SEEDS

7TH

PRO

Justin finished 7th after have a dead last start during the dead engine starting procedure. He fought hard and rode strong the entire race making up the time he lost early on. A few battles held him back from gaining more positions, but found himself healthy and ready to battle at the next round.

In his words: "Got off to a dead last start when the bike didn’t fire. After that I tried to push to make up time but unfortunately I had the bike set up for different conditions then how the track turned out and just wasn’t comfortable pushing the limits to catch up and had to settle for 7th."

THOMAS DUNN

4TH

PRO 2 LITES

Thomas rode another good ride and is learning every round. Now his second event on the 4-stroke and he is riding exceptionally well. We look forward to seeing him become a contender in next years Pro 250 Championship.

In his words: "Got off to a good start and had a pretty good battle with Jake and Will for a few laps. Around the 4th or 5th lap I got held up in the rocks, Had a little tip over in a corner and couldn’t find a good line through the rocks the last half of the race. It was a great weekend getting more comfortable on the bike and ended up 4th. Can’t thank the whole Purvines team enough for the opportunity and all the help. I’m excited to see where I end up."

CAITLYN KURTZ

2ND

WOMEN'S EXPERT

Caitlyn rode awesome, showing all of her hard work coming to fruition. There is little areas she still needs to work on, but with the 2 short years she's been on the bike, her dedication shows how much she wants to win. She fought hard to win the class, but had a fall that forced her to finish in 2nd.

In her words: "Round eight of WORCS at Primm went well. I was second off the start line right on first places back tire. I maintained second for a few laps but found an opening to shoot for first. I led for few laps but crashed in a corner falling back to second. I pushed hard to catch back up only to crash again and finish second in the Women’s Expert class."

SHARON MOWELL

5TH

WOMEN'S PRO

Sharon took the lowering kit off of her bike to try and get more performance out of her bike. She struggled to adjust and wasn't riding in her element. With more time and practice we know this will help her gain more confidence out of these GP tracks.

In her words: "A lot of new bike adjustments and changes to the suspension made it tough to get a good flow going. Good course and I am excited for the last round to redeem myself after I get some good practice in at home to adjust to these changes."
