Roadmap to Reopening

Now that the country is about to being its phased reopening we are looking forward to doing the same. Attached is current plans for returning to the workspace. It is a living document so if national guidelines change this document will be updated.

It's a start and we cannot wait to see everyone back in the Youth Café.

There is speculation that government formation talks may include discussions on dissolving the Department of Children and Youth Affairs. This department has seen youth work grow and develop as a profession that benefits young people and the larger society. Youth Work Ireland Meath is standing with all youth organisations in saying #DCYAMUSTSTAY

During Youth Work Ireland’s Consensus Process 2019, young people told us that the environment and climate change were key issues they wanted to learn more about and campaign for change on. Currently it is young people who are leading the way in highlightening the need to combat climate change, and acting to ensure the environment is protected for all generations. The activities can be done without too much preparation or materials and can be delivered by both youth workers and volunteers.
