HITLIST: GOOD DEED FOR THE WEEK

USE CHRISTMAS WRAPPING PAPER THAT CAN BE RECYCLED:

Not all wrapping paper is paper, despite it's name; a lot of wrapping contains plastic and cannot be recycled - but how do you tell? If it scrunches and stays scrunched, it can probably be recycled: click here to watch the scrunch test video

Then there's the issue of gift wrap that's covered in "metres of Sellotape", not to mention gift tags or paper that contains foil or glitter, none of which can be recycled.

So for your good deed this week, make sure your wrapping paper is recyclable.

WOMEN'S SELF DEFENCE: We offer women-only self-defence classes under the system of Urban Krav Maga, which was originally founded by martial arts expert Stewart McGill in order to be the most practical and leveraged self-defence-based martial art available. UKM has built up a very strong reputation, and is a good all-round self-defence system.Too many women today have been taught to believe that they “can’t” defend themselves, or that “fighting back doesn’t do any good” against an attack. UKMW aims to stamp out these myths, and to provide women with effective self-defence techniques. Jacksons Lane, Thursdays, 7.00pm - 8.00pm,
