Hello,

I have some news that I’d like to share with you. In my last email I think I told you about my grant application to Arts Council England. Part of the application includes providing match funding for the project. As it is a one-year project for our next three books, the match funding is substantial, £6570. It’s an important part of the application and in the eyes of the Arts Council, essential.

My plan was to reach 600 pre-orders by 1 September. We’ve been working hard to promote pre-orders and I'd like to thank everyone who has pre-ordered. Your support is greatly appreciated! However, we haven’t come anywhere near 600. On Monday, I decided to create a GoFundMe campaign to generate funds for the match funding.

At the moment, I’m focusing all of my efforts on this. Please would you consider donating to our GoFundMe campaign or pre-order one of our new books. Either one would be amazing. We have one week to do this.

If I’ve learned anything in the past three years, it is that books matter. People’s life stories matter. Guts Publishing matters. Our gritty memoirs and ballsy anthologies matter. We have made an impact on the publishing scene. I’m proud of the work we’ve done and I am doing everything I possibly can to make sure we keep publishing books. No matter what.

Now, we need your help. And we need your support. Your show of faith will enable us to publish three new ballsy memoirs: Flying with Fear, Smashed Not Wasted, and Dear Mr Andrews.

These new books and these debut writers are worth it.

Thank you to all who have already donated. It means the world to us. We're doing it!

Sincerely,

Julianne
