An authentic old time Costa Rica experience possible for nature lovers.Suits people interested in exploring nature, interacting with locals, practicing Spanish. Must be physically active and fit to enjoy this position mostly due to transportation considerations.(see below) Rural so somewhat isolated-Farm is in beautiful, tiny Quizarrá. near San Isidro de El General. San Isidro de El General is located 3 hours from the airport in San Jose in the southwestern Pacific in the foothills of the Central mountain range of Costa Rica. Quizarrá is a few miles from San Isidro. It is a small town with almost no amenities but lots of friendly and helpful Costa Ricans. No local restaurants and this position is not suited for someone who wants to go to town more than once a week or so. Need to be able to be on your own- excellent for a couple or home schooling family though we have had single people who have really enjoyed it-- let's talk . Internet and wifi available. Very high speed internet not available.It is 25 minutes from town by your car or taxi ($20) . We do not have a car to offer except for emergencies or occasional farm errand with manager.
