March 3, 2023

I can't believe it's already March! The month of February flew by with speaking opportunities and preparing things to be shipped to Nigeria. I was able to send a large shipment of personal items and teaching supplies from Houston at the end of February. It will take three to four months to arrive on my doorstep in Nigeria, but it's so much cheaper to send by boat than air, so it was definitely worth the drive to Houston!

There have been some delays preventing me from moving to Nigeria early this month like I originally planned, so I will now be leaving in early May. Please keep the Nigerian people and their economy in your prayers over the coming weeks. They are in the midst of a national cash shortage that is causing widespread problems. Many people live in villages with no access to banks and electronic methods of payment, so they are unable to buy and sale to support their families, and have no means to pay for medical care. This crisis is certainly not something that can be corrected overnight, s0 prayers are desperately needed while millions try to navigate the current situation.

Getting the Word Out

In February I was able to speak to the North Fort Worth Baptist children's department, Birdville Baptist, a connection group at Keller United Methodist, Central Baptist, Temple Baptist, and the Girls in Action Tarrant Baptist Association.

With my return to Nigeria being delayed, I am still working on finding speaking opportunities for the months of March and April. I will be speaking at Agnes Baptist in Springtown, TX this Sunday, March 5 and First Baptist Church Bangs in Bangs, TX on Sunday, March 19.

Please spread the word to help me find more speaking opportunities for my remaining time in the States.
