NW Technical Archery Update

What's new:
Classes Open - Shout Outs -
Tournaments

November and December Classes are Open!

Normally, we can only release one month of classes at a time, but for this holiday season, we are able to open classes for the next two months! Classes are now open for November and December - Reserve your spaces from now until the new year! Please note that there are no classes on Thanksgiving weekend (enjoy the holiday!) and December will be a shortened month of classes.

To sign up, please head over to the website (Book a Class) and reserve your spot in the classes you would like to attend. All the reservations happen on the “Booking Calendar” page of the website. As you will see on the site, we are pleased to be offering both group and private lessons for the next two months, and have even extended our private instruction on selected Saturdays between now and January.

In October, we had our first “How to buy a bow'' class. We hope all our archers who participated got valuable information and we were so thankful to have you all with us for this first class! This class will be back again after the holidays. For any archer who is interested in buying a bow and wants to spend some time getting fitted with our coaches, you can always reserve a private lesson and use that time to set up your purchase.

As they do every month, these lessons will fill up fast! As an example, our October private lessons and intro classes were fully booked by Oct 2. Make sure you sign up quickly to reserve your space! We now have a larger group of intermediate archers, so this class may fill faster than usual.

As a reminder, our group classes are limited to 8 students and all archers must be 10 years old or older.

Student Shout Outs!

The month of October was a big month for our community, and that’s extra special because October is usually a quiet month in the archery scene!

First, we would love to give a shout out to our very own Alex, who competed in the Archery World Classic in Lacey, WA just last weekend. Alex took home 1st place in his age division, earning a cash prize and even more prestige! Congratulations, Alex!

Next up, we want to give a shout out to all our archers who advanced to the next level of our instructional program!

This month, several up and coming archers made the jump from Intro to Intermediate class. To qualify for Intermediate, archers must be able to shoot 6 scoring arrows from the full indoor distance and demonstrate range safety knowledge. Congrats to our newest batch of Intermediate archers!

We had one archer who was able to move up from Intermediate to Advanced! Congrats to John, who worked hard on his technical form!

Finally, we had some of our archers get their own brand new bows. We want to give a shoutout to these archers for investing in their archery futures and setting themselves up for an amazing future of archery fun and competition!

Upcoming Archery Tournaments

As we approach the holidays, indoor tournament season is kicking into higher gear! There are a variety of tournaments our archers can participate in, ranging from fun, local shoots at KBH to state and national level competitions. Read on to see all the different opportunities available.

As always, feel free to ask us about these competitions and let us know if you are going to participate so we can support you in preparation, coaching, or even just words of encouragement!

We want to encourage any and all of our community members who are curious about or dedicated to competing to take advantage of these opportunities in the next few months.

You can be completely new to archery competition and enjoy the KBH leagues (which are using a handicapped scoring system to make the competition more accessible)! Or if you’d like to try your hand at some state or national level competitions, there are some options to plan for.

Here are some events you may want on your calendar:
