Finding Home Ever After is book 2 of the series. I wrote it in January 2021 right after publishing book 1. That was the month I was having trouble sleeping. I call these periods sleeping jags and no matter what I do during these jags, I just cannot fall asleep. So, during this jag, I used my sleepless nights wisely - most of Finding Home Ever After was written between the hours of 1 and 4 AM! LOL

Although I finished it in February, I struggled in 2021 to get it into the hands of readers. The editor I had lined up was busy then fell through last minute. It was stressful but ended up working out for the best once I met Kay... She's been with me since and is my go-to gal for polishing my work.

I was able to finally get Finding Home Ever After out to readers in Dec 2021. While I love book 1, I adore that book 2 is childhood friends to lovers - my favorite trope! Plus Gaby's go get 'em personality made me smile many times while writing her love story. And please, Brad!?!? He's a book boyfriend if I've met one 😍

Plus, I love that this book has the strongest small-town themes with nosy neighbors and a close-knit community.

#teasertuesday from book 2 in my series, Finding Home Ever After. After writing the gentle love story in book 1, I picked up the heat in book 2... Gaby and Brad are super-hot 🔥for each other.

Enjoy!

Stacey Komosinski has done a wonderful job again with the second book in her series. I was already so invested in these characters from book one.

I love how the friendship between the girls no matter the distance is still so strong. After a tough year with ex's and her mums cancers treatments Gaby has found herself lost and her light dimmed. Trying to find her light and love again whether it be dancing, through work, friendships or love; Gaby knows this is the next step in her Journey.

Brad made a brief appearance at the end of the first book and we could already feel the spark between the old friends. Growing up together, their fathers bestfriend too who else is a better matched than the boy whose loved her his whole life? Finally back in their home town they have found each other. Although Gaby had her reservations this romance was destined and it couldn't have been more well written.

Brad has loved Gaby since he was two years old. Their dads were best friends. Gaby has returned back home to Harmony for good. Slowly Brad and Gaby have been reestablishing their lost friendship. They end up together and Gaby finds out how much and how long Brad has loved her. She herself falls in love with him. They get a HEA after a few bumps in the road.

Finding Home Ever After is Stacey Komosinski’s second book in her Finding Happiness in Harmony series and her second book as an author. This series is based upon the imaginary lives and loves of 3 now twenty-five-year-old BFF’s who met their freshman year of college and have been closer than sisters ever since. While this book can easily be read as a standalone containing all 3 women’s backstories, I found it a lot tighter, moves along more quickly and is more focused on the story of the main character than the first book was. Some of that was of course by necessity as Komosinski had to spend time in the first book introducing us to the three main characters, Chloe Larson, Gabriella Ramirez and Jess Taylor, important secondary characters like their biological family members, current and future love interests and the imaginary East Texas communities their stories will occur in. But I also have to believe some of it is due to the author’s development as a writer and tighter editing. Because these stories are as much about the meaning of female friendship and family as they are about romance, all three women and their eventual significant others and close family members remain very present in all three stories. Or at least because they all did in this second book, I’ll assume they continue to do so in the final third book. And just as in the first book the author does devote sometime laying the groundwork for our third protagonist Jess and her story in this book.
In this story a second chance at love or perhaps a friends to lovers trope we have Gabriella Ramirez and Bradley Klein who have known each other since childhood as their two fathers co-owned an auto repair shop in Harmony Texas. When Gabby’s father dies in an accident when she is only two years old, Brad’s father Sam became like second father to her. Gabby and Brad had been close friends through grade school but their friendship grew strained and fractured during the middle school years and beyond high school. It’s now four years after college graduation. Gabby has moved out of the townhouse she shared with her two best friends since college graduation in the city of Galorston, back home to nearby Harmony to care for her mother who is undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer. Even before her mother’s breast cancer diagnosis Gabby had become unsettled and dissatisfied with much of her life mostly because her romantic life was going nowhere as all the men the gorgeous Latino woman seemed to attract were only interested in one thing and it wasn’t her bubbly personality and big heart. Watching her friend Chloe fall in love with Chris a high school principal, someone who cherished and appreciated all of her only emphasized Gabby’s feelings that she was failing in that aspect of her life. When an ex-Kirk becomes a dangerous stalker, it further shakes Gabby’s confidence in her ability to attract and recognize a decent man. By the close of the first book Chloe and her now fiancée Chris have decided to relocate to Harmony where Gabby grew up and her mother still lives. Jess has accepted a job in California and found a guy she’s interested in. So when her widowed mother whom she is extremely close to is diagnosed with cancer leaving her job as a dietician in St. Mary’s Hospital to return home and care for her mother is an easy decision. Fear for her mother’s health and unhappiness over her personal life which she sees as moving in reverse in comparison to her friends, leaves Gabby spiraling into a state of depression as the first book closes.
As Finding Home Ever After opens, Gabby is still struggling to pull herself out of the emotional funk she finds herself in. Her mom is almost through with her chemotherapy treatments and things are looking promising on that front. The less care her mom requires the more Gabby is forced to focus on her own life. She’s now unemployed with past due credit card bills weighing on her. Prospects of finding another job as a dietician or even as a dance instructor which she did part time in Galorston, in the little town of Harmony are slim to none. Since returning to Harmony she has reconnected with Brad but because so much of her own life seems unsettled and he developed a reputation as a major player in high school, like the losers she’s dated in the past, she keeps him at arms length. Desperate for any income to help pay off her debts and too proud to accept help from her mother, she takes a part time minimum wage job at the local grocery working the cash register and stocking shelves. She knows this job is well below her qualifications as a registered dietician and she hears the towns gossips saying as much, which only adds to her disillusionment over what her life has become and chips away at her self-esteem. Gabby leans heavily on her friendships with Chloe and Jess for emotional support to help her through this difficult time in her life. She also becomes closer to Brad because while he hasn’t pushed her for more he refuses to disappear from her life. This book has a strong element of faith and spirituality in it. Gabby uses her faith and some encouraging words from her pastor to help lead her out of her despair.
This is a romance so while Gabby struggles to get her life in order her relationship with Brad slowly progresses from friendship to something more. Gabby unlike her two BFFs, at the start of this series is not a virgin, but she’s only had one unsatisfying sexual experience in college where she lost her virginity. Brad on the other hand is a reformed manwhore who gave up his hedonistic lifestyle two years ago when he'd hit rock bottom and returned home to Harmony to put his own life in order. He works as a financial planner and insurance agent and helps his father at the garage in his free time. He went through a lot of women and meaningless hookups looking for one who could compare to Gabby whom he’s been in love with for as long as he can remember. As it happens his return to Harmony coincides with Gabby’s return. Since then Brad’s sole focus beyond earning a living has been on finding his way into the heart of the only girl (now a woman) he ever loved. Still, his previous history is a factor in causing Gabby to move slowly in trusting her feelings for Brad and his for her. As Chris was with Chloe, Brad is very patient in waiting for Gabby to be ready to take their relationship to the next level. When these two finally come together with Gabby discovering just how great sex can be with someone you share a mutual love and trust with as well as explosive sexual chemistry, there is a whole lot of sex in the rest of this story. Even though it was hard to believe that these three twenty-something healthy attractive women had such limited sexual experience it was great to read some contemporary romance where it was important for the protagonists to actually develop a real relationship with someone before having sex.
Beyond the romance angle much of this story is devoted to Gabby reimagining and remaking her life with the help of her friends, trying to find a career that leaves her both financially independent and emotionally rewarded while also trying to find time for her new relationship with Brad. In that regard it is very similar to Chloe’s story in the first book. We also continue to see how Chloe and Jess's lives are changing and developing. Despite having an order of protection out against him Kirk Gabby's ex from the first book returns to the story to add an element of danger and suspense. Ultimately, I found this author’s second attempt at contemporary romance writing notably improved over her first which wasn’t terrible. I look forward to Jess’s book Finding You Completes Me which comes out later this month.

Finding Home Ever After - Stacey Komosinski

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

::: SPOILER-FREE REVIEW :::

Rating: 4 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐

We've all been there... looking for something to read. Craving a certain type of book... something special... something guaranteed to make us feel good. You know the ones - the stories you can lose yourself in. The ones that’ll pull you in right from the start, with characters who will win your heart, completely.

Well, that’s the kind of story I was looking for, and that’s exactly what Stacey Komosinski delivered with Finding Home Ever After. 💜

This is my second Stacey Komosinski. She is amazing. I've enjoyed her other book so I was really looking forward to this one. It definitely came through and was better than I thought it would be. 💖

The story follows Gaby. She moved back home to take care of her sick mother following a and is feeling a bit lost in the small town. Brad has loved Gaby since he was a little boy. I loved watchSlowly Brad and Gaby have been reestablishing their lost friendship.

Loved this book! It was just what I was in the mood for – light (with a little depth) and funny.

This was beautiful addition to the Finding Happiness In Harmony series.

I was really impressed by Stacey’s ability to make me love these new characters when I so desperately loved the previous ones of this series.

Along with the humor you get a great story line, a sexy and brooding hero and a sweet and beautiful heroine. All of the books in the series can be read as a standalone which is fantastic but I have decided to read them in order.

Finding Home Ever After was a really sweet and engaging love story that I couldn’t help but smile while reading.

I highly recommend this!

“You’re everything I ever dreamed of and more. I was so blind; I didn’t know I could have my dreams come true by just coming home.”

I was looking forward to this reading book after loving Finding It All. And my, I loved this book too! It's a complete package with a slow-burn romance, friendship, and family themes in one.

I loved seeing both Gaby and Brad's character development. I find it inspiring. Even their slow-burn love story is worth the wait and not dragging at all. I initially thought that Chloe and Chris were the sweetest, but then here's Gaby and Brad confusing me and challenging my decision. 😂
I loved the consistency of Chloe, Jess, and Gaby's deep friendship is from book 1 to book 2. I think, aside from Gaby and Brad's romance, this is the highlight of this book. It's refreshing that the story does not only focus on romance but also friendship and family. And, of course, I'm glad to have read more of Chloe and Chris here. Thank you!

Overall, I did enjoy reading this book, and I loved it. I didn't even realize that I was already on the last page. I hope it didn't have to end. But, there's a glimpse of what book 3 will be here, and it worked for me because I'm excited and intrigued by it now! I have a feeling that I'm also going to love it. Can't wait!

P.S. Please don't make me choose between book 1 and book 2 because I just cannot, and I will not. 😂

*Many thanks to the author Stacey Komosinski for the review copy of this book.

We return to small town Harmony with the second book in this series.

Gaby has moved home to care for her mother following a cancer diagnosis and is feeling lost in the small town. Job opportunities are not plentiful which means she needs to create her path and find her own way. Returning to her love of dance, it opens up her creative side and she starts to find her place and feel at home again.

Brad has been in love with Gaby for as long as he can remember. He hasn't always shown it and has been in fact a jerk towards her at times. Brad has also returned home and splits his time between his own business and helping at his father's garage. Now that Gaby is back in town he sees a chance to make his move on Gaby but she is not easily won over. There is a dark cloud from her past that is about to cast shadows over her present.

It is obvious from their first encounter that Gaby and Brad belong together. They complement each other and support each other with their hopes and dreams but events from her past make her cautious about opening up her heart again.

I also loved the friendship between Gaby, Chloe and Jess - despite the long distance element. The power of friendship is strong between them and they are always there for the highs and the lows of each other's lives. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to continuing with the next instalment of this series.

Loved it.

I loved Gaby and Brad. They grew up together, their families being very close. Each knew there was something going on between them, but it was not until Gaby returned to Harmony Texas that they reconnected. Brad was not very happy with his pass, and Gaby was emotionally hurt from past relationships.

I loved their circle of friends and their families. The story is the 2nd in the series. Meeting the characters from the previous story is a definite reason to read the entire series. This is my first time reading a story by this author. I was given an ARC to review and give my honest opinion. I do want to compliment her on the fact that as a first time reader, it was a great stand alone to understand the backstory on all the characters in the story. I am so looking forward to reading more stories from the author, and encourage others to do so also.

Well I was so excited to read this after reading 1st book and I must say I'm not at all disappointed, it is so good.

This book is all about Gaby and Brad's story. Gaby who is in depressed state of mind because of her mother's illness and struggling to stay strong and Brad who is her childhood friend who she thinks a jerk, but life is full of twist and turns what we think is not the truth and she discovers that and finds a true soul. It is a beautiful story of Friendship and love.

What I like most in this book is that the friendship it is so beautifully written the way the three friends supports each other is so good and moreover Chloe and Chris story where also in this book and I was expecting and it is so refreshing to read. I really liked this book. Grab this book if u like small town romance, childhood crush, Best friends trope.

This is the second book in this series and is Bradley and Gabriella’s journey. These two were childhood best friends, and Brad always knew that Gaby was the only girl for him. After they both left town to spread their wings, Gaby is feeling jaded and no longer craving the city life, so when her mom is ill, she does not hesitate to move home back home. Brad has lived the playboy lifestyle, and he has also gravitated back home to work with his dad as well as opening his own business. This is a well written slow burn, which is sweet and filled with friendships, family, emotions, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to a steamy all-consuming page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This is such a lovely story of not only love, but friendship, family, and finding yourself. Gaby and Brad are perfect for each other and grew up together but have been apart for most of their adult lives. They have grown and continue to help each other through life’s challenges. They have a wonderful support system of family and friends in their small town. This was such a wonderful, fun story and I enjoyed the character development along with the friendships that the author relaid in her story. I highly suggest reading each of the books in the series.

I could not help but get wrapped up in the story of Gabriella and Bradley. I enjoyed meeting both characters in their present day lives and then going through the story to see how long their lives were intertwined. Their love story was a slow build up and made it well worth the wait to have them come together. To see how much Bradley was in love with her and willing to wait for her restores your faith in true love and what it means to have someone truly love you.

This was a sweet reunion story. Brad was glad that Gaby had come back home though not for the reason. Gaby gave up her city life to take care of her mom but forgot about herself. With nudging from friends, Brad, and her mother, Gaby slowly worked her way back to being happy. Brad found the courage and patience to help Gaby realize what was in front of her. I enjoyed this story.

I have to say that the author (Stacey Komosinski) did it again with an awesome book. The book was very good to the point you couldn't put the book down. You can read her books stand alone or in a series, but it is best to read the series as to know what is going on with the characters. To learn more about this author please check out her Newsletter and you can find her on Facebook. Can't wait to read more books from this author. I would recommend the book.

Stacey warms your heart with this second chance romance of two people who grew up together and lost touch. Gaby and Brad were family childhood friends but as went their separate ways. Gaby always thought he was a jerk. This slow-burn story will have you feeling all warm and fuzzy right to the end.

Gaby was a city girl but left it to go back to Harmony to care for her ill mother. One of her best friends, Chloe, is now living there with her fiance. She needs to get a job, take care of her mother and start living her life again but she finds that all overwhelming. She also feels that she is not using her degree in nutrition because she is working at the local grocery store. In walks Brad, her childhood family friend, but is he still the same person he was before? Gaby feels that she is lost and doesn't know who she is. She always felt like herself when she was dancing and with a judge from Pastor Mark, she starts again. She also hasn't had a great history with boyfriends, as the last one was a stalker. As time goes by Brad and Gaby start to spend a lot of time together. Could her luck be changing? Will Gaby and Brad see sparks?

Brad has loved Gaby since he can remember. She has been the one girl that he compares all women to. He was the bad boy and because of a terrible situation, he has changed his ways. He now is back home working with his dad and enjoying being the good guy. When he finds out that Gaby has moved back home he cannot wait to get together with her. He wants to prove to Gaby that he is not the same jerk of a kid he was when he was younger. He wasn't the nicest person towards Gaby. When he confesses his feelings to her, how does she react? Will she see that he has changed? Will she ever give him a chance? Brad tells her he will wait for her because there is no other person that he wants to be with.

Stacey has you loving Gaby and Brad together, just as much as you loved Chloe and Chris in her first book. I loved the friendship of Gaby, Chloe and Jess, in fact, they are more like sisters than friends. This story was not only about the second chance romance of Gaby and Brad, but also the friendships that are strong no matter what happens or where you love. To have bonds that are strong and to be able to call and share everything with friends is a gift we all would love to have. Brad also has you swooning over the way that he cares for and gives Gaby what she needs.

I recently finished reading Finding Home Ever After which is the second book in the Finding Happiness in Harmony series. I thoroughly enjoyed Book 1 which focuses on Chris and Chloe's beautiful relationship. I was totally hooked on that story.

Now we have Book 2 which focuses on Brad and Gaby's love story. It was such a fun and cute build-up of their relationship and I love how their relationship goes back to when they were children. We follow how they get to know each other again as adults while kinda processing their feelings about each other growing up and it's complex and sweet and authentic.

Another major factor in these books is the strong themes of friendship and family. Gaby, Chloe and Jess have the most amazing friendship - the kind we all wish we could have, especially as adults. They have a deep trust in each other and despite being separated by distance, they are able to be there and support each other through all of the things life throws their way.

Gaby, as a character, is so wonderful. I love that she is flawed and has to learn to deal with a variety of different things in her life such as finances, business, her relationship with Brad, her friends and then taking care of her mom. With all of this going on, she also needs to find herself, since she lost that somewhere along the way. The way Brad loves her throughout it all is also absolutely beautiful.

I am blown away at how much depth of story and character Stacey is able to pack into the pages. There is something for everyone! We also got a hint and a glimpse of what's to come in the next book! :)

Thank you so much to Stacey for a review copy of this book!

This 2nd book of the Harmony trilogy follows Gaby and her two best friends Jess and Chloe! It really focuses on Gaby’s story, her career, love life and home life. She moves back home to take care of her sick Mom, unsure of her career path or future and feels like a failure but she seems to fiercely push back against every challenge she faces and realizes what’s truly important to her…This is a story about love, persistence, integrity, VERY steamy country romance, and coming home!

I liked that Gaby had so many things going for her in terms of her career. I still love the friendship between the girlfriends, everyone should have ride or die besties like these girls! There was a lot of action in this one. I adore Brad and Gaby’s characters! They are just so darn cute and relatable and this story was H-O-T, that’s all I’ll say. I’m a slow reader but this is definitely an easy read. If you’re looking for a quick romance & some cheese wrapped up in Southern values this is the book for you.

This was a beautiful read! It was Brad and Gabby’s story. Theirs is a beautiful tale. Brad has been in love with Gabby since he was 2 years old. He did everything he could to catch her eye but it wasn’t until after college that Gabby noticed him.
Gabby has baggage though and only wants a friendship with Brad. He was so in love with Gabby that he took her friendship with every intention of making it grow.
Before she knows it, Gabby is in love with Brad. Gabby has a mother battling cancer, out of work and has a terrible ex. She feels lost and does what she can to find herself. Gabby and Brad’s story is beautifully written. The author manages to describe everything wonderfully so that you are able to see it in your mind’s eye.
I would definitely recommend this book!!!

The next step in this series focuses on Gaby and Brad. I've went back and forth on this review. Overall it's a good story, good characters, some things seemed a bit drawn out for me, a little slow, but other things worked. This series is heavily focused on the friendships of these three young women along with finding their one and only. I liked that Brad has a past he isn't proud of, and how he's pulled himself from that. They've known each other for a very long time and they have a connection there. The story is sweet with bits of heat and has some intense moments as well. I am looking forward to Jess's story.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

The second book in the Finding Happiness in Harmony series is Gaby and Brad's story.

Gabriella Rodriguez has lost her way. She is in a constant pain of worry for her mother who is fighting cancer and Gaby is wasting her degree as a nutritionist by working in the local grocery store as a cashier.  However, with some good advice from Pastor Mark, things are looking up. She's started giving dancing instructions out of the church fellowship hall that leads to a lucrative choreography gig for an upcoming girl's band and she's created a business plan for making and selling healthy meals out of the grocery store where she works. As for her longtime family friend, Brad, the attraction is there, but she doesn't have the best track record with men considering her last boyfriend was arrested for stalking her.

Bradley Klein is a reformed bad boy who has been in love with Gaby most of his life. Now that she has moved back to Harmony he wants to prove that he is no longer the jerk who treated her badly in school. So he professes his love early on and waits patiently for her to give him a chance. Did he play his cards too early?

Unfortunately, Gaby and Brad's story was pretty slow getting out of the gate and it just didn't captivate me like the first book with Chloe and Chris. The part I liked best was when Gaby finally started to get her groove back with her dancing and nutritionist ideas for healthy meals in the community. Brad is a very patient man and I like that he lets Gaby set the pace of their relationship. In fact, Gaby turns out to be surprisingly sensual and sexy as she slowly seduces Brad.

Of course, the series is about three close friends, Gaby, Chloe, and Jess, as they keep in touch with their changing lives. Chloe and Chris from the first book, Finding It All, are moving in together, and Jess is dealing with serious family issues that make her reconsider her move to the West Coast.

If you like slow-paced, friends-to-lovers tropes with pleasant and realistic characters, please give this book a try.

Thank you to Ms. Komosinski for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.
